Review - The Donor (Part 3) - Nikki Rae

The Donor Part 3, the conclusion to this unique and intriguing story.
So I had read parts 1 and 2 and was totally captivated. I loved the concept of this story and Jonah and Casey were addictive characters to follow. I did feel like I wanted to cry 99% of the way through.
I did read this as soon as I received it, but Ive had to spend a day trying to decide what my final thoughts were. I was a little torn.

The story is told in little time jumps. Which once you got the grips of the pattern, it was easy enough to follow. That was the same for this final part, and I think the way in which the story is told, is what made it so emotional for me. It's like there is 2 story paths running, alternating in sections. So you would read part from the present, then flip to an event that happened before, then back. It helped to draw out the final moments of this book. Just when it got to the part where everyones fate was decided, it would flip back in time. I was practically biting my nails off wondering what was happening.

The same tender and sweet friendship between Casey and Jonah is ever present towards the end. The daft and sentimental side of me knew what I wanted to happen right from the start, and I must admit I thought I knew how it would end up being played out. The connection they have seems to become more important, when Jonah takes Casey to his lab, in his cabin. There Casey learns more about his work and also why exactly she ended up staying with Jonah, while he took care of her. Something that seemed quite selfless and sweet, actually turned out to be an ulterior motive. Making me feel even more sorry for Casey. She didn't seem to get any breaks, and deserved something good. Of course Jonah wasn't being totally selfish, and yes he is justified in what he wanted Casey around for. But, it still didn't make me feel too good about the conclusion.

The ending is what left me struggling for ages. I wasn't sure what I felt. I wanted to think it was the best way for it to end. But, i'm still a little torn. I guess I shouldn't of assumed I knew how it was going to play out. It was definitely a shocker for me, but I feel a little sad still. I won't say anymore, as I don't want to spoil this for anyone yet to see, how this amazing novella series finishes. This book is awesome and definitely something completely unique and different. I'm so glad I got to read this!

**I was given an ARC of this book, in exchange for a fair and honest review**
