REVIEW - Unlawful Desire by Chelle Bliss

Title - Unlawful Desire (ALFA PI #2)
Author - Chelle Bliss

Synopsis

My fiancée ripped a piece of my heart out when I caught her with another man. It made me jaded, and I swore off relationships. But as with any plans, life had a way of making me its bitch.

When a way too young bombshell walked into my world, my heart began to beat again. Georgia asked me for one night—nothing more—and with no strings attached.

Our night of passion turned my universe upside down.

When she almost slipped out of my life, I knew I had to make her mine. Willing to do anything to protect her, I took justice into my own hands. My feelings for her brought out a side of me I thought I’d left behind.

I had to lose myself to be found again.

What I thought

Oh Wow!
That was hot, I mean I love Chelle, and she is always hot, but that was seriously hot and I don't know how or why. This isn't all sex from the start, quite the opposite and yet some how its sexy as hell.

So, Frisco works at Alpha PI, he's had his heart demolished by his ex fiance so the only women he wants in his life and in his bed, are women who are swiftly out of that bed the next morning. No feelings, no commitment, just wham, bam, thank you mam. And thats working well for him until he meets Georgia.

Ahhh Georgia, She's refreshing! She's a few years younger than Frisco, she's inky and she's a bookworm (Dont you just love her already).

They're pushed together by their friends City & Suzy (Men of inked lovers, you will adore this book) but its not as straight forward as them just having their sexy affair and moving on with their lives, Georgia is hiding a little BIG secret that changes it all.

Writing this, without spoilers, I am finding difficult because I really wanna talk about her secret. Not because its so mind blowing I cant not, because even with it. This is still a sweet, hella sexy story.

And side bar, I adored Georgia's parents. Friscos mum, not so much!

Second side bar, there is a character in this called Bear, who I know is not the focus here, but I think I'm in Love with him!!!

Shaz <3 Bear

My only issue with this book, is that it was all over too quick. I wanted more Frisco, I wanted more Georgia. I just wanted more.

REVIEW - Until Jax (Until Him #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Title - Until Jax (Until Him #1)

Author - Aurora Rose Reynolds

Synopsis

Ellie Anthony isn’t looking for love. She isn’t even looking for a man, but when Jax Mayson insists on keeping her and her daughter safe, she’s left with no choice but to trust him. Now she just hopes she doesn’t get hurt when she falls hard for a guy who’s known for breaking hearts.

Jax Mayson knows that Ellie is his BOOM the moment he sees her. When he finds out she has a daughter, he realizes he wants a family, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep both of his girls safe, even if that means facing the demons from his past.

What I thought

Jax, I love you! Swerve Ellie and come get me! No??..... Okay...... *Sobs heart out*

Aurora Rose Reynolds has done it again! She's written this story that just melts my old steel heart.
Were back with the new generations of Mayson's, and AT LAST its Jax's turn! I have adored this boy since he first said "Daddy are we there yet?" in 'Until Lilly', so I had a lot of hopes for this book and it really didn't disappoint.

Jax met Ellie in Until July, now he's rescued her from the horrid circumstance she was in, he's found himself in the position of discovering his dad and uncles were telling the truth about the infamous "BOOM". Ellie is his boom, but she is understandably cautious. I mean hell, she's been through the mill and back again and she has her daughter Hope to consider.

Like a true Mayson man though, no excuse is good enough so he starts (with a small amount of caution) to build their life together. Of course they argue about it, but hey, he's a Mayson! And obviously being a Mayson, there are exes rearing their ugly heads, but as they say, the path of true love never does run smooth. And its particularly bumpy for this couple.

These two have amazing chemistry together and they are a joy to read, but I think what I loved more was the relationship between Jax and Hope. Oh My Goodness they're just ADORABLE!
" 'Ax' Hope calls from my other side, and I pull my eyes from my sister and hold my breath as hope smiles up at me. 'what's up sweetheart?' I ask softly, still unsure what to do with a three year old girl. 'Can you pit me up so I can see mama?' She asks, and my chest gets tight "

And guess who else we get to catch up with..... Cash & Lilly... YAYYYY (Loved these two) their relationship with Jax is so sweet. Unfortunately someone else who shall remain nameless makes an appearance but thankfully it's brief!

There is plenty more going on in this book besides Ellie & Jax. We get a build to Until June which is out next year. Junes been hanging round with the wrong kinda man. I have NO CLUE who her boom is gonna be, but I am looking forward to it. Harlen, seems to have this super protective streak that I really want to read more about so hopefully he is getting his own book??

And finally for me.... SAGE, oh my word there is this whole thing with a girl names Kim who may or may not have a twin, who may or may not be evil! There was an incident and Sage will not believe her because he doesn't know the full story and he's not interested in hearing it, but then Kim's actually.... well I wont tell you what Kim is, but needless to say, I'm going to need Sage's book ASAP!!!!
"Watching him go, I shake my head, opening the door for my truck then pausing before getting in and looking in his direction. 'Whenever you get your head out of your ass, I'm here' I yell at his back, watching his shoulders sag before I hop into the cab."

REVIEW - Savage Town (Savage Angels MC #3) By Kathleen Kelly

Title - Savage Town (Savage Angels MC #3)
Author - Kathleen Kelly

Synopsis

Tourmaline is set to host the wedding of the century.
Everyone is in town to witness rocks' wild child, Kat Saunders, marry Savage Angels MC President, Dane Reynolds.
Love is in the air, and even the VP, Jonas, has been roped into helping with the impending nuptials.
For a time now, Jonas has kept quiet about his attraction to the beautiful Adelynn but now he's making it his mission to convince her he's a changed man.
With all hearts set on a happy ending, all are oblivious to the danger lurking on the outskirts of town.
The Savage Angels MC are fierce, loyal and will do anything to protect their own, but what if 'anything' is simply not enough?
Visit Tourmaline to experience the gut wrenching, unimaginable danger that threatens to destroy everyone's chance of a happily ever after.

What I Thought

Well this was my favourite of the series so far!

We're a few years down the line from where we met the Savage Angels MC and we've finally arrived at the wedding of rockstar Kat and MC president Dane. Everyone and the their dog has turned up in Tourmaline to celebrate and some to cause problems.

If i'm 100 percent honest, I was a bit unstuck at the start of this book and I was angry, because I wanted to enjoy it, but somewhere around the 30% mark that all changed and I was completely drawn in, I didn't wanna put it down!
"As I drift off to sleep my mind goes back to Gareth Goodman and I know my dreams are going to be haunted with images of him trying to hurt my woman."
Yeah there's a wedding going on, and i'm happy for Kat & Dane, but there was so much else going on, this book didn't just concentrate on one couple, it focused on everyone! Jonas & Addelyn are a good couple, she seems so meek and mild, but she's not afraid to give him a mouthful. Truth & Rosie? Well strike me down! I just love them two together. The crazy unexpected chemistry between Kade & Destiny. I'm gonna need more of those two. Dan and Amy I could live without. That amy was doing my head in.

Then their is Bear, and his "Angel" Sharon, I may be Biased, but she's my favourite female ever written.... EVER!
"I'm climbing off my bike when one of the Angels comes up to me. She's nice enough and seems to have her hooks firmly planted into Bear. She's Blonde, blue eyed and has a pair of tits you can't help but admire."
At the core, this book is a romance, and a good romance at that, but its more too. Its happiness and drama and commotion and action and vengeance and confusion and fear and a bloodbath.
"As I follow the trooper through the marquee I see more bodies, there's a woman in a green dress with her head back and eyes open but the hold no life. A man is sprawled on the ground with a pool of blood around him. Everywhere I look there is carnage."
And I loved this book, because of that.

REVIEW - Storm (Ashes & Embers #1) - Carian Cole

TITLE - Storm (Ashes & Embers #1)

AUTHOR - Carian Cole

Synopsis:

The calm before the storm…

I lived in the quiet stillness.
I felt the wind rustle, warning me, telling me to get out of its path.

But I didn’t.
I never stood a chance.

A series of weather and road mishaps leaves me trapped in the middle of a blizzard with a complete stranger. In the back of a pickup truck. For forty-eight freakin’ hours.

A stranger with long hair, tattoos, and rippling with muscle.

A stranger with an insanely sexy voice and a wicked smile that turned my insides to jelly.

A stranger who held me in his arms, calmed me, and then set a fire in me that I couldn’t put out.

Storm lives up to his name. Beautiful. Dangerously inviting. Tumultuous. Dark. A clash of hot and cold.

He’s used to getting everything he wants.

And now he wants me.

Some people chase storms for the beautiful thrill. What happens when the storm chases you?

My Review:

Storm is book one in the Ashes and Embers series by Carian Cole.
This is a sweet and funny, yet sometimes frustrating tale about two people who meet by chance and learn that there may be more to life than what they originally thought.

This story follows Evelyn aka Evie and Storm. Take a woman who is lost, a sexy stranger to offer a helping hand, and a blizzard and you have more than one type of storm brewing.

First let me say that I actually really enjoyed this book. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but it grew on me rather quickly. I did not read the blurb for the book so I had no clue what I had gotten myself into, but I was pleased with the result. Some of my favorite scenes from this book actually come from the beginning of the book. Evelyn and Storms interactions while they were still pretty much strangers was great and I loved their snarky, bickering dynamic. The way they meet is wonderful and I enjoyed watching the story evolve.

The plot of this book was pretty good as well. With that being said, it was a little predictable at times, but nevertheless, I enjoyed it. There were also parts of the story that didn’t sit well with me. There were some contradictions between what Evelyn was saying and the actions she was taking. I would have liked to see that written a bit differently, but really that was the only criticism for the plot of the book that I found.

This story is told from Evelyn's pov only. I would love to read some parts from Storms pov in the future. With that being said, we are able to watch Evelyn grow and develop throughout the story. I think we can kind of see this with Storm too, but mainly we are getting Evelyn. I really liked some of the internal battles Evelyn is having. I feel like they are relatable to my own life. She has some of the same concerns I have had in my relationships.

Heat. There is so much heat in this book. The hottest part of the book for me was a scene near the beginning. It was so sensual. I could feel the electricity just from reading about it. This scene in particular (I do not want to give anything away) will stick with me for a long time. There is no absence of heat where this book is concerned.

Overall, I was pulled in from the beginning. This book captured my attention and would not let me be until I finished the last words. The dynamics between the two characters was electrifying and wonderful. Great job to Carian Cole for writing a very entertaining and enrapturing book.

“You’re thinking about what I said…wondering if it’s true. Is it real love, or is it just a comfortable rut?” Storm

Top 10 Lists - MC Books

This weeks TOP 10 is MC Books. Men on Bikes, getting the women they want... whats not to love?

Bikers meets religious cult? A strange twist on the biker tale that's had me hooked since book on and now on book three, it keeps getting better.
A biker with a heart and a baker with an attitude :) The storm series is a great one to follow, but fierce stands out. Its something special. This is the book that hooked me to Nina, now I'd read the phone book if she wrote it.
All the fun on an MC books but with so many twists and turns, I caution whiplash! My fave of all of AC's books.
  • Craving Constellations - Nicole Jacquelyn  - Goodreads
An MC but darker, a romance but deeper. This was one of my first MC reads and it kinda set the bar for craziness.
  • Savage Stalker - Kathleen Kelly  - Goodreads
An MC president meets a rockstar and they're hot! This one felt different and it was the suspense in it was what really sold me.
  • Reapers Legacy - Joanna Wylde  - Goodreads
Oh wow, this ones sexy, Joanna Wylde REALLY knows how to write MC but this one. *swoons* (there is this bit, where he has this tattoo, oh my goodness)
  • Heavens Sinners - Bella Jewel  - Goodreads
MC with a bit of kink! Bellas guys are all so awesome, but spike stole my heart. He's filthy, dirty, angry and mean and I want him!
The continuing story of Jade and Ryder, is a little bit of a heart breaker, but it sold me on Jani. A modern day, slightly crazy Romeo and Princessy Juliet.
An MC who aren't afraid to go to war, history, enemies and girl with a different name. This is only the start of what could be an epic series!
  • Destined Havoc - Nina Levine  - Goodreads
A nomad from the storm MC whose life takes yet another unexpected twist when he rides with his Storm MC brothers and meets a woman who blows his mind.

REVIEW - Doctor-Patient Confidentiality - Eme Strife

TITLE - Doctor-Patient Confidentiality
AUTHOR - Eme Strife

Synopsis:

Two very different people.

One scandalous proposition.

Endless possibilities...

***

I can't believe how different things are now; how complicated my life has become in such a short amount of time.

It was never supposed to be like this.

He's off limits.

He's always been off limits.

I keep telling myself that; that being here with him is not supposed to feel this good.

God, HE'S not supposed to feel this good.

I wonder what my life would have been like now if I had gone to the clinic on a different day, or if I had just insisted on going with the physician I was initially referred to.

Never in my life would I have thought that in the events that followed the beginning of a regular school week, a random checkup would end up spawning a highly angst-filled, incredibly confusing, and quickly-unfolding mess.

This story unfolds over multiple serials and is not a standalone. This is the first book.

Rated 17+
This series contains mature and adult content (nudity, graphic sex, and strong language). Because of its explicit nature, it is intended for mature audiences only. Reader discretion is advised.

What I thought?

This is the first book I've read by Eme Strife.
Eme writes with great detail and she had me drawn into the book from the very beginning.
The prologue was really intense - sexiest part in my opinion. I liked it. I'm going to have to continue reading on because I want to find out what is going to happen.

Doctor-Patient Confidentiality book 1, is a short story. It ends at the best part leaving you "hanging" or wanting to find out more. In this book you really don't get to meet the Doctor except when she goes into the hospital at the end of this book.

The characters you meet in this story are: the 'Dastardly Duo' Trixie and Bill best friends of the main character of the story-Ramona, Wendy and Julianne - mean girls, Drake-Trixie's older brother, Larry Fitzgerald- Ramona's boss.  Madame Vito-vocal instructor, Jane-nurse practitioner, Doctor Dexter Frost.

Some quotes/parts of the story I like:

"Every time love so much as tiptoes my way, I run from it faster than Usain Bolt ever could, and do everything in my power to eradicate any sign of it in my life. I'd heartily welcome the plague over it."

"However, even though I'm putting on a brave face, I cannot continue to pretend that this stomach-hitching thing-a-majig doesn't bother me, either. I think I need to get this checked out."

"It's like a goddamn flea market on steroids."
