Release + Review - Weekend Fling - Stacey Lynn

It’s just supposed to be a weekend fling. . . .

“Stacey Lynn always knows how to perfectly balance sexy and sweet.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne

Weekend Fling, an all-new contemporary romance from Stacey Lynn is available now!

Fresh out of a long-term relationship, Willow Parks is working two jobs and caring for her mother, whose husband left her with nothing but a pile of bills. That’s why Willow made a vow: no men until she figures out her own life.
But while she may not need a man, she could use a break. And a weekend away at a California beach to clear her head? That’s appealing. Even if the offer comes from Trey Collins, the irresistible tech-mogul millionaire who visits her coffee shop every morning like clockwork—and needs a date for his best friend’s wedding. With an adorable, occasional stutter, he refuses to take no for an answer.
Once the weekend begins, Trey is intent on proving how good they can be together. Willow’s even feeling tempted to break her vow—until reality rudely interrupts her well-deserved getaway. There’s no way she and Trey have a future, not with the colossal amount of baggage Willow has to offer.
But Trey is used to getting what he wants. He just has his work cut out for him convincing her that they want the same thing.

Release + Review - Renegade - Chantal Fernado

New York Times bestselling author of the Knights of Fury MC series Chantal Fernando is back with trouble in the form of a renegade.

Good girl Isabella wouldn’t miss the birth of her sister’s baby for the world. So when her car breaks down and one of the bikers next door offers her a ride to Vegas, it’s too tempting to pass up. Besides, she can think of worse travel conditions than wrapping her arms around Renny, otherwise known as Renegade.

Tall, dark and handsome, the man is pure sex on a Harley.

Between wild parties and rumbling motorcycles, living next to the Knights of Fury MC has always left Isabella curious, but after a night in Vegas, she gets a firsthand taste. Drinks in the club surrounded by burly bikers soon turns into a series of daring decisions, which don’t seem so bad until she wakes up the next morning. Married. To Renny.

Could she be more of a cliché?

Nothing complicates an annulment like lingering temptation, especially when Isabella and Renny give in to their need, putting their marriage where their mouths are. But as Isabella learns what outlaw life is really like, she’ll have to decide if she’s in love with a biker—or in over her head.

Jennifer's Review
I need me a Renny! Renegade was a good MC novel. This is obviously a part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone novel. I liked this story.

I liked how straight forward this plot is. Don't get me wrong. There were some twists and surprises, but I liked how simple the plot was. It kept me interested and focused.

I liked the characters as well. They have chemistry which showed during the heat of the book. Each character was unique and made me want more from them.

The writing style is the only part if the book that was not a 5 star for me. The pace was steady. I liked everything overall, but I felt lost at some parts. Especially when they talked about past books. I didn't feel like I missed out, but I felt it could've been a little more for new readers.

In conclusion, I liked this book. It was exactly what I needed at this time. I would recommend this book to others.

Johnaka's Review
“Who will she choose? 4 stars”

I have been waiting for Savannah’s story since the beginning of the Record Series. We have watched her grow up and struggle with who and what she wants in life. Well, now Savannah knows what and who she wants. Who do you think it will be? I loved Broken Record, I thought Linde nailed Savannah’s story. I loved seeing the other Maxwell siblings and the parts they played in her story.

Savannah and Lucas used to be best friends. Then one summer it all changed. But with that change came a lot of miscommunication. They were kids who didn’t know how to express themselves when they needed it. But Savannah has moved on with Easton. He’s everything she should want. The question is can she let go of her best friend enough to give Easton a proper chance? Or will her best friend be the one to win her over?

I will be completely honest; I didn’t care for Savannah for a decent chunk of Broken Record. I wanted to strangle her. She had two amazing guys right in front of her and kind of strung them along. I was cheering for Lucas. He didn’t care who she was or who she was related to, he got it. Easton just fit into her world. In the end I was happy for everyone involved and I hope you are too.

Release Blitz + Review - Bossy Brit - Kendall Ryan

This is a standalone novella with lots of steam and a guaranteed HEA. If you like bossy British guys with big hearts...one click this one today!

Sexy billionaire Liam Bennett is cocky, dangerously handsome, and more importantly, my new boss. If only my ovaries didn't flutter when he was near—yeah, that'd be super helpful.

When our long hours lead to a dare—and an X-rated encounter—I never expected it to be the hottest sex of my life.

It'd also be super helpful if Liam didn't know it and taunt me about it every chance he got. Unable to deny our attraction any longer, our work relationship brings a whole new meaning to the term inbox.

But being with him comes with some baggage—like an ex-wife and three kids kind of baggage. And a lawyer who wants half of his company.

Unsure that I'm cut out for this new level of complicated, my traitorous ovaries beg me to try.

Heaven help us all.

Louise's Review
Bossy Brit is a novella that brings all the feels to every page of this book. An office place romance that is guaranteed to have you reading start to finish in 1 sitting.

Noelle is crazy attracted to her boss, being his assistant, she is up close and personal with him every day; when Liam reads a text on Noelle’s phone, he knows his walls are crumbling.
When working late leads to them both giving it there is no stopping them. The chemistry between Noelle and Liam is off the charts and burns up the pages throughout.

I personally loved this novella, Ryan has become the master of hot steamy alpha males.

Release + Review - The Mighty Anchor - Carrie Aarons

NEW SPORTS ROMANCE

The Mighty Anchor is live and FREE in KU! The third book in the Rogue Academy series is a standalone new adult novel with your favorite tropes: secret baby, second chance, sports romance, and broken engagement!

Read The Mighty Anchor now! mybook.to/TheMightyAnchor

BLURB
————————————
A stoic force to be reckoned with.
The steady rock on which England is destined to lean.
Everyone’s reliable mate, at the ready to defend when called upon.

To the world, Vance Morley is the next great keeper for the Rogue Football Club, biding his time at the academy. The definition of tall, dark and handsome, his quiet confidence and mysterious persona only draw the public in. He’s their mighty anchor, both on and off the pitch.

But when it comes to the one woman he claims to love, he conveniently vanishes at the exact moment I need him. The first time I saw Vance, he was a ten-year-old standing on his lawn across the street. The first time he kissed me, we were sixteen and sitting on the very shores we grew up on. We crashed into each other like waves in a storm, fated to destroy everything in our paths. Including each other.

The first time Vance saw our son, by serendipitous accident, my little boy had already lived the first year of his life. And instantly, the man who chose football over me wants to have it all. There is no way I can trust his declarations of love and fatherhood, especially when I’m set to marry another man.

We’re a new game, one to occupy him until the world stage beckons. But the more I try to tell myself he’s not the one, the more Vance’s efforts to win us back increase.

How can I guard my heart against seeing my son with his father?
Can Vance really sacrifice his dreams in the name of love and family?
Is there a way that everyone else’s safe harbor can finally become mine too?

Johnaka's Review
“Can he have both football and the girl? 5 stars”

Vance had wanted the girl who moved in across the street from his parents from the moment he meant her. But he was focused on his love of the game. When he finally got the girl too, he didn’t want to share her with anyone else. He wanted it to be just them. But you know what they say about secret relationships, they soon explode because of the secrecy. Will he be able to get his girl back and accomplish his dream? Or has his dream changed?

Lara wanted Vance from day one. Then she had him and she felt like his dirty little secret. When things came to a head she never expected to find out she was pregnant. But she did. She knew he would find out one day she just didn’t expect for it to be now. Will she be able to keep her feelings out of it where Vance is concerned or will she and her son both fall in love with the Mighty Anchor?

Aarons…ugh she broke my heart and repaired it with The Mighty Anchor. There was no denying that Lara and Vance belonged together. The chemistry lit up the pages. But that doesn’t mean it will work out. I loved seeing how Vance changed. He was always serious but his focus shifted towards the better. I loved seeing the other couples from the Rogue Academy books. I hope you enjoy The Mighty Anchor as much as I did. And I really, really hope Aarons will give us more British romances in the future.

Jennifer's Review

What a rollercoaster! Thorn is a great bully romance story. I loved the plot and characters. It was a great story i couldnt put down.

The plot of this story is like many bully romances. King of the school dislikes girl. He is mean to her, but in a redeeming way. I liked how the author unveiled pieces of each character slowly. It made me hate then love the characters. The heat in this book is off the charts. I can't wait to see where this author goes next.

In conclusion, I loved this story. The characters were very entertaining. I liked how realistic the book was and the way the author made everything feel authentic.

Jennifer's Review

Holy not what I was expecting. I will be honest with you. When I first started reading High Fae Academy, it had me rolling my eyes a bit. I thought it was another typical paranormal academy romance. Boy was I wrong. This book is so much more than that. It has so much mystery and passion that it left me speechless.

Everything about this book calls to me. The author did such an amazing job of developing this world that I wanted to legit scream or cry when  I realized there were no more pages. Then I wanted to demand the next now because why oh why would they do this to me. After going through my stages of grief over the book being over, I was able to process the boom and realized I will just have to reread it over and over until the next one comes out.

In conclusion, you are tru lj y missing out on something wonderful if you skip over this book. It is so new and refreshing that it made my poor soul weep for more. All I can do now is wait for the next book!

EXCERPT

"Open your eyes, Tiana.
My eyes flutter open and I sit up. A silhouette of a fully transformed fae male is sitting cross-legged in front of me. He's the spitting image of Lucian with small differences. He looks like he'd be taller and brawnier. Despite him merely being an image made of magic and light, his eyes glow deep purple, the darker cousins to Lucian's. His midnight hair is long and pulled back behind his head in a braid running down his back. Rowan could be Lucian's older brother. Or a more dangerous, feral, and powerful version of him.
"Why do you look just like him? How are you doing this?"
My reply comes out breathy and strange. He replies, and while his mouth moves, I can only hear him in my head.
Using your magical well, I can manifest like this for short periods of time. I look like Lucian because I am his distant relative. Before I became the king of the fae, I was a citizen of the spirit court within the royal family.
My hands move toward his form by themselves before I snatch them back again, "Can I touch you?"
He moves closer, one blink he's a few feet away, and then his knees are nearly touching mine. It doesn't startle me. If anything, I lean closer to him in wonder. His form is made up entirely of magic, swirling colors moving quickly throughout.
You may touch me, if you'd like to.
I reach out with shaking fingers and lay one hand against his chest. It feels solid and real. Like he's living and breathing right in front of me. When his fingers come up to brush my cheek, my eyelids flutter closed. It almost feels like my own soul is caressing me, comforting me, making me whole again. I hold his face in my hands and run my thumbs over his smooth cheeks. When Rowan smiles at me it takes my breath away. Magic is sparkling off him so vividly that I almost want to shield my eyes.
While Lucian calls to my spirit, Rowan calls to my very being. The darkest depths or recesses of my soul. He knows everything about me, yet I can sense love and tenderness from him that makes me feel safe and happy. We move to lie side by side together with our hands clasped tightly.
We lie there like that long after darkness had fallen and the stars came out. We spoke about our fears, his life he led while being king, and what may come of us in the future. It's a simple interaction that has no expectations, no tensions, and it's a relief to have this time with him. Although, it may have had the opposite effect of what Rowan was hoping for. While I feel closer to him, and my heart aches for him, he still isn't real, right? He can't stay with me forever like this. And do I only like him more now because he resembles Lucian, the man that I'm almost certain is my fated mate? The confusion in my chest grows as I roll onto my side to face him.
His form is dimmer now as if he doesn't have much more time before he will disappear. It allows me to better study his features. Rowan has a strong jawline, deep coal violet eyes, and crow’s feet that speak of many hours spent laughing. I can see his emotions plainly on his face as he watches me in return. Love, fear, uncertainty.
Are they simply a reflection of my own feelings, or is Rowan capable of feeling things? I'm still not sure how this shared body thing works. The thought leads me back to the main question I keep asking. As if sensing my inner monologue, he leans over me, one hand on either side of my head. His eyes search my face, while his looks vulnerable. The pure honesty we have between us gives me the courage to ask him one of my many burning questions.
Are you real?
I am real, Tiana. For you, I am real."
