Release + Review - Wrapped in Ink - Carrie Ann Ryan

The Montgomery Ink saga continues with a new series set in Boulder, where a family secret might just change everything.

One mistake at a friend’s wedding rocks Liam Montgomery’s entire world, and everything he thought was true turns out to be a lie. When an accident lands him in the ER, Liam meets someone that might just be the person he can hold onto when he thinks there’s no one else for him.

Arden Brady has spent her life in and out of hospitals. But according to the world, she doesn’t look sick. She’s lost jobs and friends because they don’t see beneath the surface, but she’s learned to rely on her family and herself to keep going. And then she meets Liam.

The Montgomerys pull together and want to help both Liam and Arden as they each navigate their way through their new relationship, but they will have to look past what they thought was real in order to find what’s actually worth fighting for in the end.

Johnaka's review

“Is she a distraction or the real deal? 4 stars”

Liam has had his life turned upside down thanks to one freak accident. But that accident leads him right to Arden. Even when sick he thinks she’s beautiful. Is he spending time with her to take his mind off his own life or is she the real deal? Is it his turn to fall in love?

Arden is one of those happy people unless she’s sick. She has a group of older brothers always on her about her health and doing what she needs to do. Liam is a healthy reprieve from all of that. He’s seen her at her worst will he see her at her best? Or will he walk away like everyone else who isn’t related to her?

I genuinely liked Arden (love her name) and Liam. I liked how they were unknowingly tied together. They didn’t handle each other with kid gloves they were upfront and honest. The only thing that could have made this story better is if the two families mixed in a scene or two. Or if I could tell which of Liam’s siblings’ stories is coming next.
