It was only supposed to be for a few months, so where was the harm in going along with it? That is, until the fake engagement Landon and I came up with after a misunderstanding threw us both into the spotlight, and threatened to destroy the lives we had both worked so hard for.

Somewhere along the way, though, we realized everything had changed. So, we made a vow to one another when we crossed the line from being best friends to lovers, that neither one of us would get hurt.

But that's the thing about promises made, they are often broken, and the fallout can be catastrophic.

Holy guacamole, I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard while reading a Kelly Elliott story before. Landon and Emmerson had me rolling. I love a good friends to lovers romance and Fool for You is great.

Landon has always had a thing for Emmerson but has never made a move because he doesn’t want to ruin a lifelong friendship. He will take what he can get when it comes to her. He just wants her happy. Emmerson has started to see Landon in a different way lately and its… weird? But it’s not. Is it because everyone around her is engaged? Who knows? But when one slip up leads to another and then another next thing she knows is she’s fake engaged to Landon.

When these two decide to date while being fake engaged the tides really turn. Will they end up together for real or will they ruin a several decades long friendship? Read to find out.
