Unfortunately, he can’t help the magnetic pull of memories from the house next door—the one that was once his childhood home—or fight the force of nature in the naked woman sunbathing in that backyard.

River Nagle is a free spirit. She understands the trials and tribulations some people face and offers the compassion to deal with them head on. When she inherits a lakeside home, she takes the blessing for what it’s worth: a gift and a new beginning. Until one day two little boys make themselves at home in the tree fort in her backyard and she meets their hot, growly dad who steals her wine, her time, and her heart.

Louise's Review

Learning at 40 was everything I thought it would be, Its book 3 in the Lakeside Cottage series; a story that had my heart breaking for all the characters.

Zack is a newly divorced full time single Dad of twins that run circles around him, before his best friend died they all made a promise and right now he was wondering how to understand the last words that his friend had to him. River was a free spirit who found herself not only falling for the guy next door but his 2 kids that craved the attention and affection of a mother figure. Turning a 10 day fling into forever might just be what they both need.

I personally enjoyed this story, Zack and River had

chemistry and that poured out of the pages. This whole series is an eye opener on going after what you want because you don’t know how much time you have. I cant wait to get my hands on the next instalment!!
