REVIEW - Wicked Beautiful - J.T. Geissinger

TITLE - Wicked Beautiful
AUTHOR - J.T. Geissinger

Synopsis:

A ruthless businesswoman and the playboy who dumped her long ago find themselves embroiled in a high stakes game of love, lies and revenge.

Life coach and best-selling author Victoria Price has it all: a successful career, fabulous friends, a fantastic penthouse in Manhattan. What she doesn’t have—and doesn’t want—is a husband. Fifteen years ago her high school flame broke her heart so badly she swore she’d never love again. Now she makes millions teaching other women how to be just like her: a ruthless bitch.

Drop-dead sexy restaurateur and infamous playboy Parker Maxwell has only three rules for the women he dates: no questions about his past, no expectations for the future, and no spending the night. When he meets Victoria, however, he’s willing to break his own rules if it means sating the explosive desire she arouses in him. What he doesn’t know is that the alluring Victoria Price used to be the mousy Isabel Diaz, the girl he deflowered and dumped long ago.

Presented with a perfect opportunity for revenge, Victoria decides the game is on. But when her connection with Parker proves more than just skin deep, she has to make a choice: continue with her plan for payback, or risk her career, her reputation, and her heart by taking a second chance on love?

Review:

Wicked Beautiful is a second chance love story with a twist.
Typically the story goes, boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Girl falls for boy. Something comes between them, but they prevail and live happily ever after. But that's not anywhere near the truth when it comes to Wicked Beautiful.

Victoria never saw herself as closed off or a b*tch when she was younger. She was soft spoken and believed in love. Only after having her heart crushed does she change.
Now Victoria is the Queen B. She teaches other women how to embrace their inner B. She is now a firm believer that no woman needs a man, all she needs is power and a vibrator. Until Parker walks into her life...again.

Parker is closed off. Hes a man who has loved and lossed and now works the one night stand circut. He is not looking for feelings for a woman let alone the thought of forever. When he sees Victoria something in his mind just clicks. He knows nothing about this woman except for what google has to say and that she stirs more in him than anyone in a long time.

One thing is certain though, Parker has no clue that Victoria is the same woman whose heart he broke and she's out for revenge. Will they take the time to listen to each other and let secrets come out? Or will the blood shed erase everything?

I enjoyed Wicked Beautiful. It was beautifully written. You could feel Parkers regret over what happened in the past. The pain Victoria dealt with was very real. I just had a disconnect issue with the story. I've never been around anyone who has experienced similar problems, I know they occur though. It's just hard for me to actually imagine it happening. And if you read the story then you will know what I am talking about.

I don’t want to say too much about this book and ruin it for you, the reader. Just read it. The characters may grate on your nerves at times but the secondary characters will make up for it and won't disappoint.
