A SEAL /
Best Friend’s Brother / Robin Hood in Cyberspace Romantic Comedy

For
anyone who’s ever been on the receiving end of an unsolicited dick pic…

He has the
muscles of Adonis, an ego bigger than the sun, and a very clear desire to get
back in my pants. Which would be fantastic if he weren’t a SEAL and I
wasn’t a criminal.

Although, I
prefer the term avenger.

I’m a
hacktivist, cleaning up the cesspool of cyberspace one scam artist and troll at
a time, and I sometimes bend a few rules to get justice done.

He’s a
military man with abs of glory, sworn to uphold the letter of the law no matter
its shortcomings. And if he’d known who—or what—I was, I doubt he would’ve
banged me at my best friend’s wedding reception.

Or come
back for more.

Which is
why he’s now the only thing standing between me and one very pissed off
internet troll who’s figured out where I live.

I’m pretty
sure he’ll get me out of this alive—and quite satisfied, thank you very
much—but I’m also pretty sure this mission will end with me in handcuffs.

And not the
good kind of handcuffs.

The Hero
and the Hacktivist is a romping fun romance between a SEAL and a twisted hacker
by day, drummer by night, complete with epic klutziness, terrible leg warmers,
and an even worse phone virus gone wrong. This romantic comedy stands alone
with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a fabulously fun happily ever
after.

OUR REVIEWS:

Johnaka's Review:

“Laugh out loud humor, 5 stars”

Rhett is a Seal through and through only right now he’s stuck with recruitment duty. What he didn’t expect was to find himself helping Eloise and trying to keep her safe. The pint-sized fairy gives him a run for his money and some how along the way he develops feelings for her. But like all men who answer the call he always leaves, but the thing is he always comes back too. Will he be back for Eloise?

Eloise is a lot of things, but the main thing is trouble. Sometimes she gets a little too into her hacktivist activities without seeing the bigger picture before her butt is in hot water, take now for instances. Now though she has Rhett who is itching to help. She doesn’t know him well and the question is, is he on her side? Only one way to find out..

The Hero & the Hacktivist has all of Grants usual humor that will make you laugh out loud. I’m 99% sure I will never look at twizzlers the same way ever again. If you need a good light-hearted story that will take your mind off of real world problems then look no further. Besides we get some of our favorite past couples in The Hero & the Hacktivist too. So honestly, what are you waiting for? Go one-click now.

Erin's Review:

This book needs to come with a warning to not be drinking while reading. Drinking of any kind. I nearly laugh snorted my coffee out my nose I laughed so hard at a few of the crazy lines! You can read this book as a stand alone, but it is part of the Pippa-verse, so there are lots of characters to get to know from other books, with details only found in them. Very easily enjoyed alone, but even better when you can binge read all of Ms. Grant's hilarious writing!

Our Hero, aka Rhett, meeting our Hactivist, aka Eloise, at a mutual friend's wedding. And through a series of laugh out loud, cringe worthy and unforgettable moments, the two set out to right some wrongs. Despite their oil and water issues, the two manage to work together for the greater good, and then manage to see how their own idiosyncrasies work for a relationship...showing there really is someone out there for everyone!

Y'all, Eloise and Rhett are just too much. Eloise is just the most interesting computer nerd ever, with her bright colored and eclectic hard shell, but with a soft nougaty sweet inside. She comes off all blustery and brave, and is so strong alone... Rhett is one hot military man, and Eloise's uh, individualism doesn't seem to turn him off. He's a 'by the books' kind of guy though, while Eloise is more of a do the wrong thing for the right reason. She's a lone wolf who is hasn't had a pack to enjoy and he has a family and brotherhood. So many differences, but they both want to stand up for what's right!

Eloise and Rhett are seriously combustible! They want in each others pants (or dress), and despite trying to keep their cool and maintain friendships and self-imposed relationship rules they can't keep their bits to themselves. Even though the don't understand each other at first and try to keep each other at bay, they turn each other on in the most bizarre and endearing ways.

I loved the lively and entertaining dialogue these characters had. It was an absolute riot! Not only funny and sexy romance, there was a bit of a criminal mystery to the story to keep it interesting. I kept reading until way past my bedtime to see how it would all work out.

Conclusion - Recap how you felt about the book. Will you read other books by this author? Would you recommend this book to others? Final thoughts on book.

A great addition to Ms. Grant's work. I loved getting to know more about Eloise, after getting to know her first in Rockaway Bride. I've read a few other books by Ms. Grant, and can't wait to read more to get to know some of the other characters I've read about. And more zany text conversations, royal romance, and convoluted relationships.

Favorite Quotes:

“I've used up my entire bag of tricks to keep him at arm's length, and yet, all evidence suggests he likes me.”

“I think better after orgasms.” “You turn into a worthless puddle of satisfied marmalade after orgasms.”

“It's like an overexcited, tatted poodle falling for a golden retriever.”
