Release + Review - Just Getting Started - Kaylee Ryan & Lacey Black

Gabby

My life isn’t exactly going as planned. I’m basically floating up a certain creek without a paddle. Desperately needing a new place to live, I receive an offer I can’t refuse, and you never look a gift horse in the mouth, right? Unless that particular mouth is connected to an uber sexy manwhore that makes me want to punch him in the face and then kiss him until I pass out from lack of oxygen. I must avoid him like the plague.

Chase

Gabby Connor; there is no request too small in my eyes. When I blurt out an offer I know she can’t refuse, I don’t think either one of us realize that our lives are about to change. Something else I didn’t comprehend, how hard it would be to keep my hands off of her, or my mouth, or my… you get the picture. It’s our time, no more hiding or waiting in the wings. I’m pulling out all the stops. I’m tired of being in the friend-zone. It’s time to take what I’ve always wanted.

But nothing is easy for us. Our road is full of twists and turns and a few surprises along the way. When push comes to shove and the cards are thrown on the table, can we navigate a new life, especially when we’re just getting started?

Johnaka's Review

“Friends to lovers, 5 stars”

Gabby and Chase are friends but friends who constantly bicker. Chase has wanted Gabby for some time now but has been biding his time. When He sees his shot, he takes it. Chase knew when he finally got her that it was a done deal, no one else was for him. But when a surprise shows up on his doorstep, he can’t help but be worried he’s going to lose her. Only he doesn’t. Will they be able to make this work or is it too much all at once?

I loved Gabby and Chase. At one point I sat back and was like aw naw these authors didn’t! Right when Gabby says okay let’s do this they throw this couple under the bus. But they came out stronger than before. One thing is for sure, if you like friends to lovers, alpha males, strong heroines, and a random baby look no further.

Louise's Review
Just Getting Started is book 2 in the Fair Lakes series, a standalone book that pulled me in hook line and sinker.

Gabby is having a bad time of it, with no where to go except a “drug apartment” Chase offers up a room at his place and he isn’t taking no for an answer. Gabby knows this is a bad idea all they do is bicker at each other every day at work, living together is not a good idea. With no other options she moves in. Chase has been harbouring feelings towards Gabby for a while now and just when everything just starts to fall into place everything gets shaken up, just when they were getting started.

Back when I read book 1; It’s Not Over I wrote “Chase and Gabby are fantastic minor characters and I really hope that they get their own book because these two have some serious chemistry and a story that needs to be told.” In my review. Thank you for writing this story it was everything I could have dreamed of!

I personally loved this book, Gabby and Chase have amazing chemistry. I have my fingers and toes crossed that Colton is going to get his own book!
