Release + Review - Southern Chance - Natasha Madison

Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.

Kallie
I fell in love with him when I was seven. I scraped my knee, and he helped carry me inside.
Our love story was the talk of the town until a woman told everyone she was pregnant with his baby. The only rational solution was to high tail it out of town and never come back.

My best friend needed a place to hide, and you can’t get much more covert than my family farm, so I came back. For her. It was supposed to be temporary, and I wasn’t supposed to see him, but that’s what happens when you live in a small town where everyone knows each other.

Jacob
Being the sheriff in a small town was never my dream. My father died and my older brother took off, so I had to be the one to look after my mother. I stayed. I fulfilled my duties as a son and I protected my hometown.

My life wasn’t perfect, but I was content. Until I locked eyes with a ghost from my past, Kallie. I thought it was my imagination, it couldn’t be. I loved her most of my life, but now I hated her.

The town gossip mill was going into overdrive. I kept my head down and my mind off of the woman who shattered my heart when she ran away. She didn’t give me a chance to explain, it didn’t matter to her then. I didn’t matter.

A second chance is never promised, but now that mine is right under my nose, I’m not sure I can take it.

Johnaka's Review
“Second chances, 5 stars”

Oh be still my beating heart! I loved Southern Chance. I enjoy Madison’s writing and I love a good second chance so Southern Chance was right up my alley. This book really shows how much the truth is important. I loved Kallie, I loved Jacob, I loved most of the secondary characters with the exception of a couple. Overall I think Southern chance is a book you need to one-click now if a small-town country romance is your thing.

Kallie left town years ago with no desire to go back, only now she has and she wishes she hasn’t. Jacob the man who broke her heart is everywhere and she can’t escape him. Will Kallie take the time and find out the truth of why Jacob broke her? Or will she keep her feelings on lock down?

Jacob has only ever loved Kallie. He acknowledges that he hurt her, but at the same time she hurt him too. If there is one thing Jacob takes seriously its protecting others and that’s what he’s always done and will do. But when Kallie comes home for the first time, he can’t help but want to be a little selfish. The question is will he? Only one way to find out.

Louise's Review
WOW! From the moment I picked up Southern Chance I couldn’t put it down.

Its been years since Kallie ran, now that she is back, she is facing all the things she ran from, the biggest being her ex the one that broke her heart; Jacob. Jacob has been living his life for his son and he doesn’t regret it at all. When Kallie is put in danger his protective side comes to fusion, he is reminded that his feelings towards Kallie has never changed. Kallie and Jacob are hiding secrets, when they come to light are, they all forgivable>

I personally loved this story, Madison slayed this story leaving my emotions running high. I enjoyed the minor characters and can’t wait to get my hands on the next 3 books in the series. Casey and Olivia’s story is next in Southern Comfort.

It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
