Bridgette knows loss. She lost her husband years ago when her son was a baby. Over time she has accepted it and moved on, trying to be the best mother she can be. Bridgette is focused on her business, son, and family, she has no time for a man. She hasn’t felt the desire to even be with one since her husband, which worries her family. She used to be full of life and mischief and now she’s hyper focused. Until Bodhi.

Bodhi only came to Sweetwater to fix up the house he bought for his mother. Thanks to a reliable source pointing him in the direction of the quiet little town he now knows his mother has a place to retire. At first, he sees Bridgette at the bakery, and he’s intrigued. As luck would have it she’s his mothers new neighbour. When he finds out she has a son, thing’s change. Not because he doesn’t like kids but because he lives a complicated life and doesn’t want to hurt Bridgette or her son. But sometimes the best laid plans don’t stick, you can’t stop fate.

I absolutely loved Only for You. I so got where both of them were coming from. Bodhi is private sector military, he never knows when he will be going, how long he will be gone, or if he will come back. I completely got that from where my husband is military. Bodhi and Bridgette knew their time was running out and I know that feeling all too well. I feel that pain before every deployment. 

Bridgette tried to be strong so her son didn’t know that anything was wrong and as a parent it's best but it's hard. I’ve been there and done that and reliving it in Only for You made me cry. How Foster described everything they knew was bound to happen was real for me. I hate admitting I cried because I NEVER cry in books, but to me that’s how I knew the book was good!

I am at a loss for words. Demon Ash blew my ever loving mind. Honestly this whole series has. This is not a stand alone and I highly suggest you go back and read the others. This series is walking dead meets warm bodies. A must read!

The plot of this book follows with the rest of the series. We are immersed in this post apocalyptic world that is different than what many have imagined. I really loved where the authors took this book. 

Our characters are wonderful. We get to meet more humans which is cool. We also meet some other unsavoury characters. Not so cool. Or is it? Either way each character brings us a lesson that needs to be learned. I love that aspect most about these books.

Now these authors ramped up the heat in this book. It's been slightly inappropriate in the best way from the beginning,  but I loved the scenes between these characters in this book. Most of all, I loved the humour.  Even in a dark place one can still find light. 

These two authors were made to write together.  I can't even tell that their are two separate voices.  I loved everything about this book. There isn't a bad thing I can even think to say about it. 

Overall, this book is my jam. I cannot wait to reread the series again and again.  I really hope we get more from this universe in the future.  Amazing series!

REVIEW - Mr. All Wrong - R.C. Stephens

Problem was I had trust issues when it came to women. Freud would’ve probably said it was my mother’s doing. Somehow Evie made me believe in her . . . trust her . . .

Big damn mistake!

One I hope I won’t live to regret . . .
But then again how could someone so wrong for me turn out to be so damn perfect?

An amazing political romance! I was highly impressed with this book. I love political romances so I was quick to pick this book up and devour it. I really liked how everything flowed well together in the book. This book has interesting characters, romance, and a plot that keeps you enthralled.
The plot of this book was oooh so good. I loved every bit of it. You have a man who seems to have his future all laid out for him whether he likes it or not. He is set in his routine when BAM! A curveball in the form of a curvy red head is thrown his way. Like every good story, there is scandal and conflict surrounding them around every corner. Will they become something more or be destined to fail? You will have to read to find out.

Evie is my hero. Seriously. She is one heck of a character. She is feisty and believes in telling it like it is. This is such an endearing part of her. She also has a unique challenge in her life that most of us do not have to face. I love how she embraces her life instead of using her challenges as an excuse. I feel this is so important for people to remember. Colton is also an amazing character. He has his own challenges he is facing. He has been told his whole life how his life will be and when he finally finds something he wants enough to fight for it, he faces resistance. I love that he is such a strong character as well.

The chemistry between these two characters is astounding. I love how they are drawn to each other. The feistiness of Evie brings out a side in Colton that I love. Watching these two interact is very entertaining. This aspect of the book was not lacking for me.

The author told this story from dual point of views. I love how she creates such dynamic characters. They are multilayered and feel very realistic to the readers. I also love how she fully immersed the readers into the political world. As someone who doesn’t follow politics, I felt this story was perfect for giving me a taste of the political world. 

Overall, I enjoyed this book. This was an amazing representation of a political romance. The characters were so endearing that I am still thinking about them. I still believe that Evie is my Hero. I would recommend this book to others.

“Second Chance, 4 stars”


I have a soft spot for second chance romance, especially high school sweethearts. But then again that could be because my husband is mine. Kara and Dean are no exception. Together they were perfect but sometimes life and circumstances can tear even the strongest of couples apart, much like Kara and Dean.

Dean has music flowing through his blood. He’s made his name and fortune off of his love for Kara. After a misunderstanding years ago tore them apart he’s hoping she still loves him enough to get him through the hurdle he’s about to face.  Best case scenario he gets the girl back, worst case he loses everything. Will he come out the other side?

Kara has only loved Dean but sometimes one cant get over a betrayal. But what if there was no betrayal just a epic misunderstanding? What if you get the second chance to fall back in love with the only person you have ever loved? Kara is now face to face with Dean and standing at a cross roads. What path will she choose?

I loved Kara and Dean. They really were a great couple the only “problem” I had with the story is I wanted more. I love how despite Deans fame he stayed humble and how Kara stayed work-a-holic even after getting back together with Dean. They both took pride in their work and each other. I hope Aarons finds a way to give us a little more Dean and Kara somewhere down the line.
