The (Half) Truth, an all-new standalone emotional romance by Leddy Harper is NOW LIVE!

From bestselling author Leddy Harper comes a sizzling romance about an aspiring young chef who may discover that the perfect recipe for love involves all accidental ingredients…
Tatum Alexander is so close to realizing her dream of becoming a sous chef she can taste it, but working at her ex-fiancĂ©’s restaurant with his new girlfriend was never in her career plan. To save face and prove she’s moved on, Tatum cooks up a lie that she’s in a relationship with her best friend’s superhot cousin. There’s just one problem: Jason only recently moved to town, and he has no idea they’re already “dating.”
Jason’s a recovering ladies’ man who shouldn’t be on the menu, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to Tatum’s quirky charm. Giving her lie a kernel of truth, they decide some no-strings-attached fun between the sheets can’t hurt. But as Tatum’s forced to keep making up stories to cover her original fib, she has a hard time separating what’s real and what’s fake—including her feelings for Jason.
With too many tales spun, Tatum can only watch in horror as her collection of yarns begins to unravel, leaving everyone she cares about feeling betrayed. After so many lies, will it be too late to set the record straight? And more importantly, will she be able to convince Jason there’s truth in their love?

OUR REVIEWS:

Johnaka's Review:

“The unexpected, 5 stars”

Tatum thought she knew how her life was going to go. Then it kind of imploded. Then she meets Jason her best friend’s cousin. Some how she found her self in a web of lies. What she didn’t expect is to develop a friendship/relationship with Jason. Will she be able to turn half-truths into full truths?

Jason has moved back to his hometown to spend time with his family. When he meets Tatum there is no denying that he wants her, but she doesn’t appear interested. Until one day that changes. Some how he finds himself wanting more with her. Will he be able to convince her to give him a chance? What will happen when Tatum’s half truths come to light? He’s not one to give second chances, but maybe this time he will.

These two drifted towards each other. I enjoyed the banter between them and they’re on the sly antics. I really enjoyed Jason’s family and the part they played in these two’s relationship. Harper is a story teller who keeps you interested during the whole story. Go one-click if you want a story you can’t put down.

Jennifer's Review:

My heart is still lost in this book! The (Half) Truth is such an amazing romance novel. This book took everything I thought I knew and turned it upside down. This is such a uniquely written novel that had me hungover for days. If you like you romance with a side of what the heck is going on then this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed the plot of this book. Tatum has everything she ever wanted. A great fiancé and a job she loves. Then the unthinkable happens. Her life comes crashing down. To save face, she tells one little lie. What could it hurt right? Enter Jason. He has just moved back to town to be closer to his family. His life has also recently began to crumble. Can these two find comfort in each other or are they destined to be caught up in lies?

Tatum is one of my favorite characters. She is so quirky and unique. I liked that she is not what everyone assumes women should be. Tatum is just herself. She is vulnerable and makes mistakes. Then you have Jason. He is a playboy… Or he used to be. I liked how he had a history of being a little wild, but had made changes in his life. I really loved his character. While he is what I expect from a male character, he also had another side to him I loved.

The chemistry between these two is as awkward as they are. At first, you are not sure they should be talking. Then as they continue this little dance they are doing, you kind of start to fall in love with the idea of them. These two characters have chemistry, but it is not the kind you are used to.

Leddy Harper never ceases to surprise me with her writing skills. None of her book sound the same. Each one has their own unique voice. The pace of this story is steady. The story is told from a dual point of view. What I can say about this book? It had my heart fluttering, butterflies filling my belly, tears streaming down my face, and laughter ripping from my body. This book took me through a rollercoaster, but it was so very worth it.

In conclusion, what can I say? I would recommend this book to others. This book did things to me that I haven’t felt in a really long time when it comes to books. To elicited such strong emotions from me is a huge accomplishment. I cannot wait to reread this book over and over.

About Leddy Harper

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.
She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
