You might be wondering how you’ll know when your playboy
ways are coming to an end. For some it might be an unexpected pregnancy (ahem…
you know who), for others it might be finally landing the one woman you’ve
always wanted (cough… I won’t mention any names). For me, it was the death of
my mentor and the subsequent reading of their will.
The signs were there, they always are. But I didn’t notice
them until it was too late, and my demise was complete.
Demise Sign #1 – You find yourself thrust into the land of
responsibility and you don’t immediately hightail it out of town.
Demise Sign #2 – Despite being stuck with the world’s
biggest Jekyll & Hyde, some sadistic part of you actually enjoys spending
time with her.
Demise Sign #3 – Your family suddenly stops wanting to weigh
in on every decision in your life.
Demise Sign #4 – Somehow you end up being the voice of
reason in your tumultuous partnership.
Demise Sign #5 – You start thinking of other people before
yourself.
Demise Sign #6 – You agree to put yourself in the middle of
an Alaskan reality TV show that has both of you sleeping in the same tent.
Demise Complete.
Johnaka's Review
“Uncommitted finally commits, 5 stars”
I loved Demise of a Self-Centered Playboy. It has all the banter and humor we expect from Piper Rayne but at the same time has some serious undertones. We discover why Denver is the way he is and how Cleo is like him but just shows it in a different way. I don’t know about you but I cannot get enough of the Baileys and the next book cannot come soon enough.
Denver is as loyal as they come but he’s not one to commit. He’s the fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy. Until his mentor dies then he has no option but to be serious. He refuses to let the man who taught him everything about the land business fail, and fail it will if his city girl daughter is left in charge. What he didn’t expect was for Cleo to be just as lost as he is. He can’t help but want her even though he knows he shouldn’t. The question is will he act on it?
Cleo hates Denver. Then again who could blame her? When they inherit a business, she knows nothing about she has no choice but to accept Denver’s help. What she didn’t expect was for Denver to have a softer side. When she sees him around those he cares about she can’t help but melt. Is it smart to get involved romantically when the man who’s helping you, no, but does she care?
Take a chance on Cleo and Denver you won’t regret it. And who doesn’t want to catch up with the Bailey family?

Louise's Review
Demise of a Self-Centred Playboy is book 5 in The Bailey’s series, Denver shows a side of himself that I never expected but made me fall in love with him even more.
Denver hides behind his playboy ways, he loves hard and is not interested in committing, to anything or anyone. When his mentor leaves him with a big commitment, he has to share it with Cleo, the gorgeous woman who holds her own and continues to give as good as she gets.
I personally loved this story, Denver and Cleo both have their own issues but they hold their armour differently. Catching up with the Baileys is like coming home.
I cannot wait to read the next instalment, Confessions of a Naughty Nanny.
