Release + Review - Revived - AK Evans



As the last single guy amongst his coworkers, Gunner Hayes is beginning to wonder if he’ll ever find the woman that’s right for him. He’s watched as his friends have fallen in love, secretly wishing for that for himself. And it’s when he sees his high school crush on the local news that Gunner is awakened to the possibility of his own happy ending. 

Years after Sage Thompson left, she’s back in Wyoming working as a meteorologist. Day in and day out, she puts on a happy face for the camera. Behind the lens, she’s anything but. The truth is, Sage longs for something new. Something she’s wondering if she’s even meant to have anymore. 

So, when her high school crush shows up outside the news station looking better than ever, Sage feels revived. She’ll take one night with Gunner before she leaves on assignment to cover the story about hurricanes ravaging the east coast. 

But when Sage returns home, she’s terrified to see Gunner again. Because even though she’s accustomed to dealing with unpredictable storms, Sage isn’t sure how Gunner will react when he learns that one night of passion has bonded them for a lifetime.

“Second chance, 4 stars”

Gunner and Sage knew each other when they were in high school. When Gunner finds out she’s moved back to town he can’t help but jump at the chance to see her. Their reunion is explosive. What do you do when you find out the girl you used to crush on used to crush on you? You go for it obviously. All of Gunner’s buddies have had massive obstacles when it comes to love, the question is will Gunner and Sage?

I enjoyed Revived. Gunner and Sage, they jumped for the chance at love. There was no second guessing or questioning how the other feels and it was refreshing. I will warn you it is a quick read but I’m still glad I did it. I cannot wait to see what Evans does next.

A.K. Evans is a married mother of two boys residing in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Lafayette College in 2004 with two degrees (one in English and one in Economics & Business). Following a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry, Evans realized the career was not for her and went on to manage her husband’s performance automotive business. She even drove the shop’s race cars! Looking for more personal fulfillment after eleven years in the automotive industry, Andrea decided to pursue her dream of becoming a writer.
 
While Andrea continues to help administratively with her husband’s businesses, she spends most of her time writing and homeschooling her two boys. When she finds scraps of spare time, Evans enjoys reading, doing yoga, watching NY Rangers hockey, dancing, and vacationing with her family. Andrea, her husband, and her children are currently working on taking road trips to visit all 50 states (though, Alaska and Hawaii might require flights).
