REVIEW - Tied - Carian Cole

TITLE - Tied

AUTHOR - Carian Cole

BLURB:

He was the myth and the legend of our small town. But no one knew the truth... except me.

Me
My childhood was stolen by a monster. I’ve forgotten what love feels like. What happiness feels like. What hope feels like. I am numb.

Him
He’s possibly as damaged as I am. Maybe even more. Scarred just as much on the inside as the outside. Just like me. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t smile. He hides in the woods like an animal. I should be scared of him. But I’m not. He’s the only one that has ever made me feel. And I want to make him feel, too.
Everything...

REVIEW:

Tied is another emotionally charge novel by Carian Cole. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and let me tell you,  I was not disappointed. Carian has a way of making n each and every novel she writes feel new and refreshing even though we have met some of these characters before. This book does get kind of dark so I do caution those who do not like darker books, but it also has hope and redemption. Wonderful book.

The plot of this book i knew would be a good one. Tyler was mentioned in Torn and I just knew I had to read his story. The plot of this story was written wonderfully. There is some dark subject matter in this book, but it is written in such a realistic way that I can honestly say did the subject justice. Nothing felt forced and it shed light onto a serious situation. I'm very happy with how this book turned out.

The characters in this book have a ton of developing to do.  Tyler has been damaged by his past. Instead of moving on,  he has isolated himself from others and dwells in his misery. Holly has her own demons to battle. She has lived through he'll and is trying to find her way in the world. Both of these characters are on a journey and I loved traveling with them.

The heat in the book is just as hot as ever. The chemistry between the characters is so wonderful. Watching these characters get to know each other is so heartwarming. You'll need to read the book to fully understand.

The author did an amazing job writing this book. Readers can tell she took her time to really develop this book and the characters. It is also obvious she either researched or has personal experience with the subject matter. There seems to be a level of understanding about the situations the characters are experiencing. The pace of the book is steady as well. Honestly I have no complaints about this book.

Overall, this was an amazing book. The author writes in a way I actually experience the emotions of the characters. I would recommend this book to others, but do warn about the dark situations in the book.
