OUR REVIEW:
Another wonderful trip into the world of the book of spells!
This is a novella in the A Marriage to a Billionaire series. This book is more
of a prequel than the next book in the series, but it was amazing. I loved that
it ended with the book being passed onto the next woman, whom we meet in the
series. This is the perfect romance novella.
The plot of this book follows the others. The woman recites
a spell she found in a book to find the perfect man. Will it work or will she
get the opposite of what she wanted? I love these stories because the perfect
man is based on perspective. I loved how what was written down was interpreted
in different ways. I feel like a theme in this book is what we want might not
always be what we need.
Cat is an interesting character. She annoyed me at first
because I viewed her as weak and spoiled. Once I got to know her, I started to
feel differently about her. I was able to see her strength. Rip I liked from
the start. I know he was supposed to be viewed as a bit of a jerk, but I just
resonated with him. I liked the tortured soul part of him.
The heat in this book is there from the beginning. One thing
about Jennifer Probst is she doesn’t skimp on is heat. The chemistry between
these characters are off the chart. I think this is heightened because of the
resistance each character attempts to make. This aspect of the book is perfect.
The writing style is good. The pace of the book is steady.
This was a perfect little nugget in the world of the billionaires. I love that
this book is set in Italy. We got to travel to Italy before, but this was like
another little trip into a wonderful world.
In conclusion, this is a wonderful novella. I love this
series. It is one that I frequently lend out to friends when they are looking
for something to read. I cannot wait to tell them about this novella. I highly
recommend this book.
