I finally have everything I ever wanted--fame and fortune and literary success.

Only one problem: I lost my muse.

He was tall, dark, and handsome. Broody, enigmatic, alluring, and right for me in every way.

Until he wasn't. Until I lost everything.

And I can't lose it all again. I'll do anything to keep it.

Even seeing him again...

"Will she or won’t she, 5 stars”

Welcome back to the Upper East Side lovers. In Cruel Fortune Natalie once again finds herself amerced with the rich and devious. If you are looking into Cruel Fortune then you should have read Cruel Money and if not, you have to go back and start there. Last we knew Penn and Natalie had what I shall call a falling out of epic proportions. The question is…
Will Penn win back his girl?
Is there another player in the game that wants Natalie?
Only one way to tell…
Linde was brutal with her story weaving. I was sucked in from the get go and didn’t trust anyone but Natalie. You know all those don’t do it things you say during horror movies when you don’t want the main character to do something? Yeah, that was me while reading Cruel Fortune. I didn’t want Natalie to fall victim to anyone ever again. But once a victim always a survivor and now our sweet Natalie has some bite of her own. I cannot wait to see how Linde wraps up this series and the end cannot come soon enough.

CRUEL MONEY
Cruel Trilogy – Book 1

Lose yourself to the dark and glamorous underbelly of the Upper East Side in USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde's new billionaire romance Cruel Trilogy.

She was supposed to be a one night stand.

A way to sate my sexual appetite.

I let her glimpse the man I am. The face that I hide behind my carefully cultivated life.

But she ripped open that divide--and there's no going back.

Now, she's here. In my city.

I don't care that I'm Manhattan royalty and she's the help.

Only that she's living in my summer home. With me.

And I want more.

Johnaka's Review

“Inside the Upper-East side, 5 stars”

Natalie wasn’t expecting a ghost from her past to show up once again, let alone force his way into her life. They come from completely different worlds and have no chance of survival. Natalie let Penn crush her once, will she let it happen once again? Do the elite really fall in love with the help?
Penn is a contradiction. He claims he wants to live one way but lives another. Natalie intrigues him and he can’t help but want her. What will happen when she finds out the truth? Has he proven himself enough to make her stay or will she run?
I loved Natalie and her boho ways. She was a free spirit who didn’t exactly fit in with Penn and his group. Penn is a snob is the best way to put it. He hides it well, but it comes out. Half of his friends I liked, then there were a few that I would like to stab, like Katherine who was totally Blair from Gossip Girl.
Cruel Money ends on a cliffy, I will tell you that right now and I loathe cliffhangers. But the story consumed me, and I fell into the drama. Cruel Money is going to be a part of a trilogy and I can’t help but wonder will it be one involving the same two people for all three books? Or will Natalie end up with someone other then Penn? Because I wont lie, there is another guy in this book who totally did it for me. Dive into Cruel Money and tell me, who do you want Natalie to be with.
