BLURB:

Abby
I only have one love now—the home furnishings business I’m building into an empire. Maybe money and success can’t love me back, but they keep what’s left of my heart safe. One-night stands are my way of scratching the occasional itch I get for something more. And no one’s better for that than a sexy as sin hockey player I’ll never see again after one very hot night together.
Luca
I used to love two things: hockey and women. But now my nieces and nephew are my top priority, because I’m raising them after tragedy stole their parents. Somehow I balance single parenthood and my career as a forward for the Chicago Blaze. There’s no time for women, until I get knocked on my ass by Abby Daniels. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted, but her devastating past may end us before we even get started.

Johnaka's Review

“Finding your new normal, 4 stars”

Luca is trying to find balance in his life since taking custody of his two nieces and nephew. He does whatever they need and plays hockey, his personal life is on the backburner but who could blame him? Then he meets Abby. She makes him feel like maybe he can have it all. But how will she react when she finds out about the kids? Only one way to find out.

Abby’s life has changed in ways she never thought possible. She used to be sweet and fun loving. Now she’s all work and no play. Then she meets Luca and she can’t help but want to be with him. When she finds out his not so secret, she feels like the world is crashing down around her. Will she be able to put her past in the past and move on with Luca or will she run before even giving them a chance?

I was cheering for Luca and Abby from the start. I wanted them to get their happily ever after’s. If any one deserved it, it was these two. The pain and loss these two experienced was horrible and tragic. The kids were resilient and can give one hope. If you take a chance on Luca I think you’ll enjoy it.
