Mack and Izzy were childhood sweethearts. He was the son of a thief and she was the daughter of a wealthy man, but they didn’t care. Then it all came crashing down around them. Izzy left; Mack stayed. They each built lives away from one another. Now Izzy is back. Will they pick up where they left off or will past hurts prevent them? What happens when newer secrets come to light? Only one way to find out.
Izzy is one of those characters who is strong because he had to be. One thing that has never wavered is her love for Mack even though she should have let go along time ago. Even with that said she’s hesitant, is love worth it? Mack is a man who has been living in purgatory for over a decade because of the loss he felt when Izzy left. Now she’s back and he can’t help but think this is his last shot with her.
I really enjoyed Pieces of Us and the little glimpses of some of Jacksons other couples. If you dive in, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
