Releasing Keanu is book 8 in the Kennedy Boys Series, and this book has it all. While this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone but i highly recommend going back to the beginning and meeting everyone.
Keanu hasn’t really been living he is just surviving and when the love of his life Selena comes back into his life, he knows he won’t let her go again. But will her past be the obstacle in their way of HEA?
This book took me on a roller-coaster of emotions; I went into this book thinking I knew everything about Keanu but I was proven wrong, he is the sweetest Kennedy brother, has a heart of gold and would do anything for the people he loves.
I personally really enjoyed reading this book, there was hard topics to read about but Davis crossed her T’s and dotted her I’s with this one.
I cannot wait for more from this family!

Keanu and Selena were young when they met. There is no denying that he loves her but sometimes love isn’t enough. Selena left him to take care of herself, something he doesn’t like but understands. When she shows up on his doorstep, he cannot help but see it as his way back in with her. The question is will he get the HEA he’s always wanted with her? Or will her past prevent it from happening?
I don’t know what I was expecting from Keanu and Selena’s story but I definitely never thought it would go the way it did. Don’t get me wrong it was a pleasant surprise! Keanu is more sensitive than his brothers. He’s so in tune with Selena and what she needs that it just makes you sigh. I loved them together. The only reason for a four star is because at the end I was left feeling unsatisfied with Selena’s issues. With that said, Releasing Keanu is filled with triggers. So, if those aren’t your jam then turn away now.

KEANU
I like her,” Kent says, talking in hushed tones as we rinse
and stack the dishwasher.
“I love her.” I’m not ashamed to admit it. For years, I told
my family nothing about the girl who had captured my heart. Now, things have
changed, and I’m not going to hide her or my feelings anymore.
“I know, bro. I always have.”
“I’m not letting her go this time,” I say, wiping down the
counter. “Selena is it for me.”
Kent eyes me circumspectly. “You really mean that.”
I toss the damp dishcloth in the sink. “Yeah. I do.”
He thumps me in the shoulder. “Guess I’ve permanently lost
my wingman, huh?”
“I was never a true wingman, and we both know it.”
“Yeah. You were a miserable fuck most of the time. I’ve seen
you smile more this past twenty-four hours than I have in the last two years.”
“She makes my heart sing.”
He sticks two fingers in his mouth, gagging. “Fuck no. Not
you too.” He shakes his head. “There is no one left. All my brothers have
turned to the dark side.”
Only Kent could refer to love as a darkness. Like it’s an
illness or something.
“Love isn’t a burden, bro. It’s the best feeling in the
world. Even when the girl of your dreams yanks your beating heart out of your
chest and stomps all over it, it’s still worth every ounce of pain. Wait and
see. You’ll meet a girl, and she’ll nail your heart to the wall, and you’ll be
powerless to do anything about it.”
He shakes his head. “It’s not gonna happen.”
“Why the hell not?” I grab two bottles of water out of the
refrigerator while I eye my cynical brother.
“Because we both know I’ll somehow fuck it all up.”
