This college jock is a total player. He’s used to getting who and what he wants. Until her...
Katrina
The hottest guy on campus won’t stop asking me out. I know that sounds like a good problem to have, but this guy… this guy has no idea how complicated my life is trying to juggle being a single mom and college student.
Every Thursday, he shows up at the café where I work. His cheesy pickup lines and arrogance should have me completely annoyed. I’m not. I can’t say yes, but Thursday is my favorite day of the week.
Joel
The hottest girl on campus won’t go out with me. I know, I know, that sounds presumptuous, but this girl… this girl has gotten under my skin, and I can’t seem to walk away.
Every Thursday, I show up at the café where she works. She’s fed me every excuse in the book. I should give up and bang one of the many girls blowing up my phone. I’m not. Even when she says no, Thursday is my favorite day of the week.

Our Review:

“Will they let love in? 5 stars”
Katrina isn’t your typical college student. Yes, she may look it, but her priorities are not on what party to hit up and what to wear but more on the do I have snacks for soccer practice scale. When one of the basketball stars starts asking her out, she’s flattered but she won’t be another notch on a bed post. What she didn’t expect was for Joel to be persistent. Will she let him in?
Joel has it all. He’s got basketball, his friends, his family, and constant DM’s from beautiful women who want him. Then he meets Katrina. She’s unlike anyone he’s ever met. Will he be able to work his way into her life? Will Joel’s past come back to haunt him?
The Fadeaway is the second book in the Smart Jock series, so we got little bits and pieces of the characters we fell in love with in book one and I loved that. I love being able to fall in love with a group and go through life with them and that’s what Jenshak is giving me book by book. I cannot wait to see what she does next.
I love how Jenshak wrote Joel. He’s one of those characters that there is more to than what meets the eye. He has a huge heart and I adored it. Katrina is a boss. She’s a single mom who manages her son and school with very little help and I couldn’t help but admire her. As a parent I loved how she was hesitant when it came to Joel meeting her son. Plot-5/5 Characters-5/5 Heat-5/5 Writing style-5/5
Overall-5/5
