I am the good girl, the one who does no wrong.
Daughter to a ferocious and strong MC President, I know what protection feels like.
Until one night changes everything - and not a single person in the world can protect me from it, not even my dad.
Suffocating. Alone. Desperate.

I let my problems live deep inside until there is no longer anywhere to run.
I need an escape. Anything to make the pain go away.
Trouble comes for me, and I don't fight it.
I tried so hard to believe in what I was,
But nobody understood.
Not until him. Not until Lucas.
He sees me. He believes in me.
He refuses to let me drown.
He’s my way out. My escape.
But Lucas is forbidden. He’s a cop. I’m in danger. And my father is trying to protect what can’t be protected.

There can only be one outcome.

Pandemonium.

Our Review

Lucas Black is a cop, a good cop. He dedicated his life to his work, his wife and his child, until he loses his wife and child in wildly different ways. He falls apart but slowly begins to put himself back together by honouring his much loved daughter, and searching for his wife. The long search for his wife leads him to the path of the Hells Knights MC more than once, but little does he know, the significance of getting on the wrong side of these guys until one night on a run, he meets a girl who has been damaged by an unknown enemy to everyone.
Ava was taken to be broken, to cause chaos, but its not just the MC whose life her tormentor has messed with it's the life of the kind man who found her, and hence. Pandemonium ensues.
" Its why he's been calling me more than usual. It's why my mom has had that look in her eyes, that worry. Something is going down and that something has just caught up with me. "
I ADORED the MC Sinners series so much. I've read them multiple times and even bought them in paperback (I only do that with my absolute loves), so when I heard the second generation (the sinners kids) were getting their own series I was beyond thrilled, and pandemonium did not disappoint.

Ava is MC president Jacksons daughter, it may be 20 odd years later, but Jacks is still the fiercely protective alpha we knew before. It was lovely catching up on him and the other guys and obviously meeting their kids, who will also be getting future books (I hope).

Lucas and Ava have an interesting dynamic, there are only a few years between them, but the difference in the maturity levels are vast so when Lucas calls her "Kid" it feels right. There's this scene by the bath, that really sealed these two for me. They're dysfunctional, destructive and shouldn't be together and yet they are and they belong together.
"  'You know what I think, Detective?' I say removing my hand. 'I think you'd have dimples if you smiled' 'Ava' he says, his voice resigned. 'Mmmm?' 'Stop Talkin.' 'Okay Lucas.' 'Okay Kid.'  "
This is a lot lighter on the sex than previous Bella Jewel books, or more specifically than the MC Sinners series, but that actually doesn't detract from the sexyness. Somehow, it just works. And I want a Lucas in my life.
