“What are you wearing under this dress?” he asked, his mouth brushing hers, the words whisper-soft.Not what she expected him to say. “E-excuse me?”
His teeth sank into her lower lip, making her yelp. “Focus.”
On what? The demon club? The humans dying downstairs? The fact that you’re a fucking vampire? Where should I begin?
He sighed, his forehead falling to hers. “Astasiya, we have very little time to sort this before the Conclave. I need you to work with me. Both our lives depend on it. What are you wearing?”
She cleared her throat, her hold on his neck tightening as if needing his support to respond. And maybe she did. This was all a lot to take in. “A, uh, thong,” she managed to say. “And a strapless bra.” Both black and lacy, but she didn’t add that part.
One of his hands drifted from her hair to her waist, then down to her ass. His palm flattened and forced her to arch up into him. A breath hitched in her throat at the feel of his growing arousal.

Our Review:
Not quite what I was expecting. Blood Laws exceeded my expectations. This is a paranormal romance that is not only exciting, but brilliant. I was hooked in from page one. If you like unique books, this one is for you.
Blood Laws is different than other paranormal books I have read. The plot of the book was very interesting. This main female gets thrust into a world she never knew existed. The mysterious, billionaire, bad boy is there making her question everything she thought she knew. Add in secrets and a past she cannot remember and well you have yourself the perfect book.
Stas is an amazing character. She is sassy and witty, but also vulnerable. I loved her strength and strong will. She also has a great heart. Issac. What can I say about you mystery man? Well he is hot. He is strong. Oh and his mind is something I would love to explore. He is a great character.
If you wanna tall about chemistry, look at these two. From the very beginning there were sparks flying. I am very interested to get some more clarification on some things that might explain this chemistry more. The heat in this book is steamy.
The writing style of this book is amazing. The book is told from dual points of views. I like the third person usage in the book as well. I wasn't ever confused as to who I was reading. I really liked the mystery surrounding it all. Oh and the dictionary in the beginning helped enhance the book as well. It gave us some insight into this new world.
In conclusion, I loved this book. It ended on a cliffhanger, but I honestly expect that from paranormal books. It seems the next book follows two new characters, but I would like to read more from these two. I feel like we just scratched the surface and they have way more to tell us.
