Sometimes, Crockett felt that in her soul. 

And, of course, the one time that she’s being ‘irrationally angry’ would be the time that the hottest guy on the continent walked into her place of business dressed in prison orange. 

She should’ve been afraid. 

She should’ve taken one look at him and walked the other way.

Which is why Zach turns around and walks far, far away. 

He tries not to look back. 

He tries to leave her be. 

But then he sees how she’s treated by the people that are supposed to love her, and all cognitive thoughts seem to flee his rational brain. 

One second, he’s running in the opposite direction. The next, he’s playing her knight in dingy armor. 

God help her.

Crockett and Zach made me laugh. I loved how he didn’t think he was good enough, and then he finally woke up and realized he was. I love how, in her own way, she was loyal to him once she met him. Crockett is one of those people who has a small circle and Zach made it in when most people would turn their backs on him. The chemistry between these two was absolute perfection. I loved the way Zach stepped up and protected Crockett from those who should have been protecting her. My heart hurt for the girl.

Gen Pop made me smile when I didn’t think I could. Do yourself a favor and one-click the crud out of this series. You won’t regret it.
