Cover Reveal - Garrett by Karla Sorensen

Title: Garrett
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge #2
Author: Karla Sorensen
Release Date: Oct 21, 2016
The one thing Garrett Calder and Aurora Anderson have in common is that they absolutely hate each other.
Garrett has the job that Aurora has worked for and wanted for years and it was handed to him on a silver platter, just like everything else in his life. The fact that he manages everything with the most annoyingly handsome smile on his equally annoying, handsome face is just icing on the freaking cake.
Aurora is not only the most beautiful, but the smartest, most infuriating woman Garrett has ever had the misfortune of meeting. Her sharp tongue and inability to be charmed by him makes her somehow more maddening, and she’s never let him get away with a single thing, not for the eight years they’ve worked together.
Garrett and Aurora are pushed into a situation neither of them want to be in— forced to work together for twelve months or risk losing everything. Twelve months where they can’t kill each other. Twelve long months, and only one of them will be left standing at the end. And in the process of surviving it—and each other—they’ll discover that there’s a very fine line between love and hate.
Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. I’m a writer who wants to make people smile when they read my words. I own a dog that sheds roughly eighteen pounds of hair every day. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

love-me-crazy-rdl-ban Today we have the release day launch for Love Me Crazy by Camden Leigh. We are so excited to share this fantastic new contemporary romance with you! Be sure to check it out and grab your copy today!    love-me-crazy   About Love Me Crazy:   “We’re broken in the most screwed-up perfect way. It was inevitable we’d end up together.”   Cassidy Beck is focused on one thing, and one thing only: planning the Southern wedding of the century in Lucas Hill, South Carolina. Fresh from a tragic breakup, Cassidy’s not in the mood for any distractions. But when antebellum hottie Quinn Covington arrives in all his sexy, tattooed glory, he might prove to be the biggest distraction of them all.   MIA ever since his father’s death, Quinn doesn’t plan to stay any longer than it takes to start his dad’s vintage truck. But the sight of Cassidy trying to fend off his family’s pet turkey sends him for a loop. Red-haired and fierce, she’s just as broken as he is. But even though Cassidy’s past makes her the only one able to understand Quinn’s own scars, they also make her wary. After all, how can she trust him with her heart when everyone else she’s ever given it to has thrown it away?   Sexy, heart-wrenching, and full of Southern charm, this new contemporary romance from Camden Leigh shows just what happens when two people who are perfectly broken end up piecing each other back together.   Get your copy today! Publisher | Amazon/Kindle | iBook | Nook | Kobo | Google Play   About Camden Leigh: author-photo Camden Leigh is a sucker for first kisses, first hook-ups and anything that adds the unforgettable first sparks of love–humor, seduction, hot-n-sexy bods, angsty determination...what have you! Her stories expose the real dirt, grime and grit that befalls a seemingly perfect relationship, the heartache as a result, and the growth, perseverance and strength it takes to make flaws work for her characters. She wants her characters to experience love that wraps arounds their hearts, turns them into sizzling flames and results in a grand finale of fireworks.   When Camden isn’t writing, she’s either crafting, flicking through images of gorgeous paper, saturated palettes, lip-lickin' washboard abs. When feeling guilty, she attempts to keep up with her energetic kiddos by beach combing, kayaking, golfing (can it really be called golfing if a seven-year-old beats you?) or being that crazy person at a concert. Her addictions: chocolate covered raspberries, real southern sweet tea (not the fake stuff with the sugar crystals hanging out in the bottom of the cup), her pups and pretty paper she’ll never use.   Connect with Camden: twitter: instagram: Pinterest: facebook: goodreads:   Giveaway Details: lmc-giveaway a Rafflecopter giveaway   Follow along during the blog tour....

Release Blitz - The Good Ol' Boys Box Set by M. Robinson

$.99 PRE-ORDER. REG. PRICE $8.99!

It was complicated, it was also just the beginning.
A decision.
A simple choice.
There is always that one moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road.
A different life.
It was easier to pretend that we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy.
Pretending was better than knowing the truth...
I. Ruined. Us.
I had her.
I lost her.
I love her.
All I did was complicate us.

It was only a matter of time until the truth came out.
I never thought it would come to this…
I tried, God knows I tried to stay away from her but eventually I crossed that line and broke that trust. I could no longer go back and I sure as fuck didn’t regret a single moment of it. I knew there would be hell to pay, I knew the wrath I’d be facing but I would willingly take the burns and scars just to have the love of my best friend's sister.
If there is one person I’d willingly go to hell and back for it was…

Lillian Ryder

I met her when I was sixteen.
I fell in love with her when I was seventeen.
She brought me to my knees when I was twenty.
I loved her against reason.
I loved her against hope.
I loved her against all odds.
Now she's back, a constant reminder of what I lost, what could have been.
I hate her.
I resent her.
I still love her.
Can I forgive her...

Will she be my end once again or my beginning?

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home.
What if home was what you were running from?
Where did that leave you?
Always on the other side of the fence.
Always looking in.
Always wishing you were someone you couldn't be.
Until one day you meet her.
The one.
She was my high, but she was also...

My demise.

Prologue Reveal - Checkmate: This Is War by Kennedy Fox

Checkmate Banner BOOK 1 EBOOK
Title: Checkmate: This Is War
Series: Checkmate Duet #1
Author: Kennedy Fox
Genre: Enemies to Lovers Romance
Release Date: October 3
Travis King is the worst kind of asshole.

He taunts me for being a good girl and mocks my high standards.

He’s cruel, crass, and has enough confidence to last two lifetimes.

And I hate him.

It wouldn’t matter so much if he were avoidable.

But considering he’s my older brother’s best friend and roommate, I see him more than I’d ever want to.

His sculpted abs and gorgeous eyes are wasted on such an arrogant man, which makes me hate him even more.

Even though I’ve had a crush on him since I was ten, the feelings weren’t mutual and he’s made that very clear.

He’s always loved getting under my skin and one night against my better judgment, I let him in my bed.

I’ve succumbed to his manwhore ways, but that doesn’t change a thing.

Because the King is about to get played at his own game—and lose.

Beautiful exotic young woman
Young handsome macho man with muscle abdominal and open jacket sitting in armchair.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, lived a young princess who awaited a prince who would give her everything she ever dreamed of… love, passion, loyalty. He’d be the sweetest, kindest, most heartwarming gentleman a girl could ever ask for. And he’d be perfect.
…Excuse me while I vomit.
There is absolutely, positively, no way that a man like that exists on this earth. I used to think he was, but of course, I was proven wrong. I was young and naive, and didn’t know any better.
And he was Travis King.
I remember how clear the sky was as I sat on my rooftop outside of my bedroom window. Summer was fading away and the start of my seventh grade year was right around the corner. The stars were super bright and as I counted them, I heard Travis’ father screaming from the house across from mine. He did that a lot and occasionally, I’d see Travis through the window of his bedroom. He’d put on his headphones to tune out the yelling, as if it was something to which he was accustomed. But that night he didn’t go to his bedroom. He ran out of his front door, slamming it behind him, and began pacing his front yard. I swallowed, watching him intently as his hands balled into fists at his sides.
When the Kings moved across the street from us, Travis and my older brother, Drew, instantly became best friends. They were both going into their first year of high school and I was sad I wouldn’t be at the same school as them anymore. Well, mostly about Travis. Drew had made it very clear he didn’t like his little sister tagging along, but Travis never made me feel like I was a nuisance.
As I watched him kick the dirt on the sidewalk, he looked up at me. His lips were turned down and I could see the anger in his eyes. My breath stilled as he watched me watch him, and I was certain he’d tell my brother I’d been spying on him.
Instead, he walked across the street, climbed up the trellis and sat down next to me. He stayed silent for a long while, but then he finally turned and spoke.
“I hate my dad sometimes.”
“Why does he get so mad?” I asked.
He looked away and rested his arms over his bent knees. “He drinks. Sometimes too much.”
“Does he hurt you?” He didn’t look at me. “Or your mother?”
He winced. “No. Just yells.”
We sat in silence, both lying on our backs as we looked up at the sky above us, the stars so bright and big.
“You can sit up here anytime, you know? My parents won’t mind.”
“Drew would,” he said matter-of-factly. “He’d call me a pansy.” He chuckled.
“Drew calls everyone that.”
He laughed again.
I turned my head and looked at him. “I don’t think you’re a pansy.”
Travis tilted his head and looked into my eyes and everything went serious. I watched his throat move, swallowing hard. He licked his lips and moved in close. Feeling his breath against my skin made me so nervous, I instinctively turned my head.
“Are you excited about going into high school?” I spit out, trying to change the subject, looking back up at the stars. I could’ve sworn Travis was about to kiss me. It would’ve been my first kiss.
Moments passed and he finally responded. “Yeah, I guess. It’ll be nice getting back into basketball season and staying late for practices and games.”
I knew what he was implying without saying the words. Less time at home.
“Why do you think she puts up with it?” Curiosity got the best of me, and I could no longer keep it in. “Can’t she leave him?” I asked.
He shrugged. I supposed it wasn’t that simple for adults, but to me it just sounded like common sense. Why would anyone want to be with someone that treated them like crap?
That wasn’t the last time Travis snuck up the rooftop and sat with me under the stars. We shared details with each other that we hadn’t shared with anyone else before. It was our secret little spot where we could talk or just sit and stare up at the sky.
It was easy.
He wasn’t my brother’s best friend.
I wasn’t his best friend’s little sister.
And the lines between us weren’t blurred.
I was only twelve years old, so I truly believed prince charming existed. As I grew older, I came to realize he never really did. Because if he did, he most certainly wouldn’t be available. And he most definitely wouldn’t be interested in a girl like me. I’m not saying that because I want anyone to tell me otherwise, but if such a man existed, he’d have no chance with me anyway. Because for some only-God-knows-why reason, my heart only beats for one man. My pulse only increases when he walks into the room. My cheeks flush and my body hums when he looks at me. I feel the blood in my veins as my skin heats from his very existence. He’s the epitome of perfection.
…Too bad a decade later, he’s a complete asshole.
Travis King.
He’s no knight in shining armor; more like a royal jackass. He may look like a prince on the outside, but on the inside he’s a cocky, arrogant womanizer that I want to shove over a cliff.
All right, that might sound dramatic and all, considering I just confessed my feelings about him, but those are feelings of hate…not love.
From being head over heels for him as a young girl to loathing him as a woman, Travis King needs to remember the golden rule—never admit defeat.
It was game on.

Feisty Sophia never shies away from life. Playful, romantic, connected—her marriage was the thing of fairy tales. But when tragedy strikes, Sophia is left to pick up the pieces of her life.

After leaving the army, Jackson is ready to start afresh. But when he returns home, his life spirals out of control.

As Sophia and Jackson find themselves in each other, they start to see redemption is possible. Trying to piece together a new life, they must answer the question:  Should they forge a life together and say goodbye to their pasts completely, or should they loyally go their separate ways to avoid heartache?

Our Review

To Say Goodbye is a story about a woman named Sophia who misses her husband Tim.  Tim was her rock and she didn’t know how she’s going to live without him. At least she has her best friend, Stella to count on and be there for her. Stella and her have their own salon called Pink Lemonade.        Then there is Jackson who is also going through some stuff. Jackson was Tim’s friend.    Sophia and Jackson hang out and they easily can have a conversation without being judged. They understand each other.    Both of them ask themselves, Is it ok to see each other?  Do they say goodbye or see where this goes?

Sophia and Jackson are the main characters. As I was reading, thought to myself there wasn’t much details of them being intimate and not much of the word sex. Which to me is perfect. They had a bond, they both knew Tim. The friendship and caring between these two as the story progressed you felt while reading. Stella made me laugh.

Lindsay Detwiler wrote this wonderful story of love and when tragedy strikes it’s not the end of the world.  Her writing captivates you and before you know it the story is done.  I really liked how she incorporated memories of Sophia’s into the story. It fits.  This one touched me. It had feelings to it. It made me think and wonder that I could be in Sophia’s shoes so to speak one day because you never know what will happen.    To Say Goodbye is a story that could easily happen in real life.  I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it to others.  This is a standalone.

Parts of the story I liked:

“You’re such a strong woman. You’ve been through the wringer these past few months, and you still manage to flash that gorgeous smile. It’s inspired me.”

“Nonetheless, through the wreckage of the sadness, through the feelings of emptiness, they had managed to resurrect something breathtaking, something worthy of a romantic carriage ride in the brisk night.”

REVIEW - Pierce My Heart by Kelsey Jensen

Pierce My Heart
Kelsey Jensen

It all began with a choice...

Anna Pierce had, by all accounts, a blessed life. She grew up in a home full of laughter, love, and support. Where the biggest problem she faced (other than how to deal with her family's crazy antics) was deciding her plans for college. Little did she know the ugly path her choice would drag her down.

A choice that left her free-falling...

Fast forward five years. Her life still held that same laughter, love and support, but it was no longer full. A shadow hung overhead, waiting. Always threatening.

Until he caught her...

Jake Taylor stormed into her life and turned her world upside down. He made her feel things she'd hidden away from; made her face life again. But, most importantly, he helped her find the light.

And gave her happily ever after...

My Thoughts

Pierce my Heart is a sweet coming into self kind of story. Anna the heroine doesn’t have a very good track record when it comes to men. Coming out of a abusive relationship and having body image issues leave Anna feeling a little less than steller.
Jake knew who Anna was before she knew him. Needless to say he had the upper hand going into the game. He knew when he saw her that he had to have her and make Anna his. Jake is a patient man but how patient can he be?
This story is all about Anna finding her way back to loving herself and falling into love with Jake. They have plenty of obstacles to defeat before they can reach happily ever after. The question is will Anna be able to get out of her head long enough to get there? And when the relationship is tested will she try and jump ship instead of fighting?
Pierce my Heart is a sweet story and I felt like it hit all the emotions one experiences after being in a abusive relationship. There were times I felt like it was a little slow for me, but the secondary characters made up quite nicely for that. Anna’s family is a riot. What family Jake has is super tight. Put the two families together and they could cause all kind of fun havoc.
If you want a fun, easy, with a little sexy kind of story this could definitely be one for you. Here are two quotes I really enjoyed from the story:
“He already knew you were worth all that. Especially after finding out about your past and the challenges he might face, he still came rushing after you because he didn’t want you gone after knowing you one day, Anna. One day! All that tells me something’s gonna happen and that something will be good.”
“No man has ever, never ever, taken care of me the way he does. Never talked to me the way he does. Never held me the way he does. Never kissed me the way he does. Never touched me the way he does. Never looked at me the way he does.”
