Whew! What a ride. Canary takes your through the paces, but once you follow all the twisty and winding roads, the view is quite amazing. Canary is a Mafia Romance, but it has a unique feel to it. It's not quite like the rest in the genre. There are secrets and betrayal, but there is also an underlying theme running through it that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Gosh, all the characters in this story are dynamic. Just when you think you figure one out, they throw a curveball making you question everything you knew. I have to say my favorite has to be Gus though. If you know, you know. This book is unlike any of the other books Tijan writes. It's darker, grittier, and a lot more explosive.
I absolutely loved this book. This is one of my top books of 2021. As soon as I finished it, I felt like I had to go back and reread it just to relive the experience all over again. Amazing story!
