Release Blitz & Review - Scoring The Billionaire by Max Monroe

Blurb:

Two love-matches made.
One to go.

Even though two of his best friends have settled down, Wes Lancaster is determined not to get sucked into some siren’s web. As owner of the professional football team the New York Mavericks and wildly successful BAD restaurant, his lifestyle is full as it is.

Well, it was, until Winnie Winslow, the new, sexy, stiletto-wearing Team Physician trash-talks him in the locker room without batting an eye.

Now he can’t stop himself from wanting her.

The only girl in her parents’ brood of five, she’s as outspoken as she is beautiful and the kind of woman who holds her own—and then some.

Always competitive at heart, if he’s going all in for love...
Wes sure as hell wants a Win-Win.

Prepare to get a little dirty because this one might go into overtime.
Game. On.

Our Review:

Max Monroe has done it again! Another wonderfully written novel! Absolutely loved this book as much as I have loved the others in the series. Scoring the Billionaire is much like the other novels with humor and heat, but this one also adds a hint of seriousness that I did not feel as deeply as the others. I think this sets this book specifically a part from the others and gives it an added layer and a sense of identity.

The plot in this book is similar to the others when you look at the bones. Billionaire falls for woman, woman falls for billionaire, and something is going to happen to affect their relationship. There is so much more to this book than just that. There is the absentee father, demons hiding in the shadows, and a special child who does not need to be put through any more stress. These is so much more than readers can see on the surface with this book. Max Monroe outdid themselves.

The characters were wonderfully developed. We have met both of these characters in the other books and even read a little bit from their point of view in the last novella.  They then get introduced to the big screen and flourished under the lights. Wes is a spectacular character. While he is so calm and cool on the outside towards others, we get to see another side of him through his thoughts and the way he acts towards Winnie. Winnie is a real ballbuster. I absolutely adore her. If I had a spirit animal I would want it to be Winnie. She has such a fire to her that is magnetic. The things she is willing to do for her daughter are amazing. I hope I am half the mother she is one day.  The interactions between all of the characters in this book were strategically done and I have to say I am extremely happy about it.

The writing style of Max Monroe is fantastic. They are a duo who bring comedy wherever they go. I feel that they say the things we all wish we could say out loud. It is almost as if I am reading an alternate universe of things I would say myself. With that being said, Scoring the Billionaire did have some parts of the story that I felt were a lull. It was not necessarily a bad thing, I just felt a little more could’ve been added to really make these sections part of the story rather than feeling disconnected.

The heat in this book is as hot as all the others, if not hotter. Wes is hiding a very naughty boy under his calm and cool demeanor. I did not expect Winnie to be such a wild cat either.  These two together are like a combustion of chemicals! If you want a book with heat, this whole series will do!

Overall, this is a wonderful book. It is bittersweet to know that this series is coming to an end but exciting to find out where all these wonderful characters land. If you read the acknowledgements and notes in the back you know that they have also said that these characters will not be forever forgotten and never to be seen or heard from again! Yay! LOVE this author and this book.

Favorite Quotes(Like you can only pick a couple):
“It’s just that when we (men) try enough, our vision is X-ray adaptable. Shh. Don’t tell anyone.”-Wes, Scoring the Billionaire

“Oh, get over yourself.” I scoffed. “If I want to stay out all night and take body shots off our offensive line, that’s my business.” – Winnie, Scoring the Billionaire
“If the size of my belly is any indication, the fudging doctor is going to need bridge cables to suture up the hole.”- Cassie, Scoring the Billionaire

Wes and Winnie.
We love this couple and the people that flow into them like literary tributaries more than you can imagine.

We think you'll love them like we do, but if you don't...don't tell us. ;) HAHA. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

xoxo, Max Monroe
