Our Review

I have been following this story since M. Robinson told us this was her next book. I had this idea of how the story would go only to find out that I was wrong. She took this story to a different level and I loved/hated it. Hated it because I don't think I will ever get enough Creed.

Creed has had a hard life, one that has been set in stone since the day he was born. His MC group is his life. He goes from a know it all teenager to a slightly jaded man. The losses he's had define and shape him, leading him down a road he never thought about before. The one bright light in his life has always been and will always be Mia.

Mia comes to us as a little girl and we watch her struggle for independence as a teenager. Needless to say Daddy is a little over protective. The thing I love about her the most is she knows what she wants and goes for it. The one thing she's always wanted is Creed, no matter how crazy it is.

Creed and Mia have an uphill battle to fight to get what they both want, each other. Will Mia’s family and baby daddy be accepting to the idea of Mia and Creed? Will Mia’s life always be in danger because of the feud between MC groups? 

Buckle up if you dive in. You'll run the emotional gauntlet. On a positive note we get a little dose here and there of some of our favorite men and women. Finding out if the Good Ol Boys are up to the same things is worth the buy alone.

I sat at the train tracks. Desperately trying not to think about her, but it was easier said than done. She came into my life like a fucking hurricane, destroying everything in her path. A girl from the right side of the tracks, which for some reason I couldn’t ever fucking fathom.

REVIEW:

Taunt is about a 27 year old woman named Daniel Schwartz. Daniel is a terrorist. Daniel knows a lot and she is a unique woman who doesn’t have feelings like others. She’s a genius. Cynthia who is her friend studies volcanoes and they did studies. The two of them know a secret that the world is going to end. Daniel gets kidnapped and that’s when the security of 3 men keep watch over her for six weeks. John, Colt and Seb all work for a private security firm. This lady Leslie Elkin from Middlebend hires the three of them and they leave for California.

I’ve read other books by Eve’s but this one is really different. It’s set in the future and in an apocalypse. However, Eve doesn’t disappoint in her writing as this story was very interesting to read. There are different POV's. I kept turning the page wanting more. This story had some serious action. 

I really liked reading about John, Colt and Seb. The three of them are sexy-built military men. They thought Daniel was a man at first but when they saw her. They were all attracted to her. Daniel was attracted to all three of them as well. She didn’t know how to feel. The chemistry between all of them was hot.

I really couldn’t stand Leslie Elkin. As I was reading, I wish I could’ve just yelled at her. She was a mean lady. 

This story made me laugh and had me on my toes with all the action. If you like reading about sexy men helping out a lady then I’d recommend this story. However if you don’t like reading about steamy scenes or 4-somes then this isn’t the story for you.

Parts of the story I liked:

Suspenseful, hot, leaves you wanting more, 5 stars!

REVIEW:

Femme Fatale The Agency is an erotica short read under 200 pages. It’s about a woman named Monica who gets offered a better paying job. Her old boss, Edward is sad to see her leave but the lady-Fiona Anderson needs her asap. 

Fiona runs an agency called Femme Fatale that deals with the elite. They investigate, perform surveillance and set up traps. Femme stands for Fearless Elegant Mistress for Members of the Elite.
Wow! I was so intrigued with this book! I didn’t want it to end. C A Bell captivated me with her words. There was a twist that I didn’t see coming, but man it was good and made the story very interesting. Edward and Monica are both very attractive characters.

I liked reading about the ladies of the Femme Fatale without them the story would be boring. What a great idea, Bravo C.A. Bell – I can’t wait to see what happens in the 2nd book! This book ends on a cliffhanger.

If you don’t like reading about erotica or BDSM then this isn’t the book for you. If you’re looking for something new to read or like erotica then I’d highly recommend it!

REVIEW:

I guess what they say is true. All good things must come to an end. This is my exact feeling about the Billionaire Bad Boys series by Max Monroe. I feel like a whirlwind come through and took me on an adventure and then decided it was done with me and left me back in my boring old life with nothing but fond memories. If you haven’t started this series yet, you are a fool and you must go read the whole series before we can even speak.

There is a small plot to this novella just like all the others. Instead of just transitioning into another book, this one tied up all the loose ends from all three books so the reader can feel satisfied. While I am sad to see these wonderful characters go, the author did a good job in giving them one last small adventure before they bid us adieu. I liked the lighthearted nature of the plot with the small detours to seriousness added in between.

As usual, I loved all of these characters. We got to see each couple interact with each other and the other couples in this novella. I loved getting to know each character better and seeing where their journey was going. There was a little character development, but not much as they were mostly developed in their own full length novels. It was nice to see them go through some stuff one last time.

One thing not missing from this book? Heat! Tons and tons of heat. Holy moly I was sweating through most of the book. These characters have such a chemistry that their stories fly off the pages. It is only natural that when they are left alone, they have hot and steamy scenes together.

In conclusion, this was a wonderful end to an amazing series. I laughed through most of it, teared up at some of it, and sure felt like I was having hot flashes at times. Again, if you haven’t started this series you are truly missing out. I still can’t figure out who Max Monroe is, but they are some amazing authors writing amazing stories. I cannot wait to see what they come up with next.

Contemporary Fantasy / Mythic-Fiction. New Adult Fiction - as opposed to Teen or YA, though savvy 16 or 17 year olds might survive without permanent damage.

REVIEW:

Paternus is an outstanding novel. I was not sure how I would feel about the book at first because it didn’t seem to fit my typical reading genre, but I am super glad that I gave this novel a chance. You really need to give this book a shot and keep an open mind because you will be pleasantly surprised by how much you end up loving this book! All the adventure and action one can hope for tied up in a nice little package with a bow on top.

The plot in this book is imaginative and unique. I can honestly say I have never read a book quite like this one. That is a feat all on its own as many books these days seem to blend together and seem like they are all the same. I loved learning about this new world and the characters involved. This plot hooked me from the beginning and kept me interested throughout the whole story. This was a page turning novel I could not put down!

The characters in this book are wonderful. These two teens are living a normal life with typical teenage concerns and then their worlds are turned upside down. I loved the reactions they had. I don’t think anyone can predict how one might act when they find out the world is not what they thought, but I think this author did an amazing job imagining how two teens might react. Even better, he did a spectacular job in taking his imagination and putting it on paper.

The author has an amazing writing style. I was highly impressed with his ability to transport me into a whole new world. I also loved the action and adventure in this book. It would be an understatement to say this book kept me on my toes. This book kept me not only on my toes, but on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting the conclusion. It is not often I actually have a book that affects me physically, but this book did this for me. I could feel my heart race and blood pressure go up just by reading each page. This speaks a lot to the way the author is able to write and bring his ideas to life for the readers.

The heat in this book is not like I normally write about. This isn’t a romance focused novel. With that being said, there were some moments between the main characters that still produced that chemistry and longing I look for in romance novels. I really enjoyed the muted heat in this book and felt it made the novel feel more organic. I don’t like when aspects of novels feel forced so by muting this aspect it actually adds to the book.

In conclusion, this was a wonderfully written novel. I loved the high action and adventure feel to the book. Moreover, I loved the author’s writing style. I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with a book. The pure genius behind the plot idea mixed with the author’s ability to bring that idea to life makes this a 5 star book all the way. I cannot wait to recommend this book to my friends and family.

REVIEW - Thomas' Heart - Melissa Haag

REVIEW:

Thomas' Heart is an amazing story. This author never ceases to surprise me. Since this is a part of the companion series, the worry is always that the story will be boring as it's being retold from another character's point of view. The author did an amazing job at making this story feel fresh and new.

The characters in the story are developed wonderfully. We already kind of got to see them develop a little bit in the main book, but this book is more focused on Thomas. I think this story is very important because we were really unable to see where his mind was at in Unbidden. This story allows us to see how he was thinking, how he was feeling, and really where he came from.

This book was very important to both the main and the companion series. Being able to see the view from Thomas we are also able to get some Clues as to what is going to go on in the main series. In my opinion, this is brilliant. It gives the readers bits of crackers to follow in hopes of being led in a wonderful direction. This book has shown that this author has an amazing writing style and an unique and brilliant mind.

What I love most about these characters are their chemistry together. I believe this story is a true reflection of not judging others before you get to know them. These characters have a very bumpy beginning, but I loved watching them navigate life and this new adventure together. Even more, I loved watching a small kindling grow into a huge burning fire.

Overall, I absolutely, positively, 100% loved this book. Thomas truly is one hot and sexy alpha. I loved getting to know him through his own thoughts and actions. I would and have already recommended this book to others and it's only been out for 18 hours! I guarantee that once you start this book you will be unable to put it down!
