“Will she be able to save Brody? 4 stars” 

Brody is broken. He hasn’t had an easy life and he just keeps getting hit. Melanie helped Brody heal once. She was there the second time he was broken and in turn he broke her. Without Brody there is no Melanie. Will she be able to pull him out of the dark and remind him there is more to life than guilt? Guilt he shouldn’t have. Only one way to find out.

I liked Melanie. I have to give her credit where credit is due, she was hardheaded and once she knows what she wants she sticks with it. Brody though, I kind of wanted to punch him in the face. I get survivors guilt but he’s carrying a whole load of guilt he shouldn’t have. He doesn’t realize how much he’s hurting everyone around him. But he does love Melanie without a question.

Knights Burden was a solid finish to the Rumblin Knights series.

AAAHHHHH! Give me more now! Torian is a great mafia book. It captivated me from the very beginning and had me begging for more by the end. Why oh why did the author do this to me? I need the next one now. Warning, this book does end on a small cliffy.

What do you get when you get a FBI agent facing off with a mafia boss? Well you get a ton of sparks that is for sure. Add in kidnapping and a plot for murder and well you get where I am going. Anissa is such a strong character. I loved watching her struggle with her morals and what needed to be done. Cole is a great character as well. Harden by a rough life, he is what he needs to be. That is until Anissa is thrown into the mix.

The heat between these two. Oh man. It is exactly what a mafia novel needs. Fireworks. Explosions. Hate. Love? The heat in this book is perfect and I cannot say anything more about it.

My only complaint about this book is the cliffy. I do not feel the book tied everything up. I am going to go ahead and give it a 5 because I am hoping these two get another book to tie up loose ends. Otherwise, I will be disappointed.

In conclusion, this is a great book. I loved the story and characters. The pace was steady. The action plentiful.

Fueled by pent-up lust and scotch, we stumbled into Oliver’s room and tore at each other’s clothes. It was hot and rough and a little bit violent, as if we were furious we hadn’t been able to keep our hands to ourselves and wanted to take it out on one another’s bodies. We pushed and pulled and growled and grasped. We called each other names and cursed viciously. We knocked over a lamp and ripped Oliver’s shirt.

When we finally exploded together, Oliver had me up against the door, and if our yelling didn’t wake the entire floor, then the pounding must have. I’d have bruises for days.

Afterward, we collapsed on the bed, naked and sweaty and exhausted.

“Oh my God,” I said. “I can’t believe we did that.”

But he didn’t say anything more. He just reached out and covered my hand with his.

Our Review 

“Undeniable chemistry, 4 stars”

Chole and Oliver have always had chemistry, that’s undeniable. They know how to get under one another’s skin, something else undeniable. It’s been years since they last saw each other and to say it ended badly would be an understatement.  But Oliver’s back and he’s making a play for Chole. The question is, is this real or is it fake?

Chole and Oliver grew up together. They know how the other works, how the other ticks. The chemistry is what made the story. I liked getting little peaks at their families. I liked the story within the story (if you read Undeniable you will understand). The only thing I didn’t care for is the story felt a little short, did it cover everything? Yes, but I felt like it could have been slowed down. That’s just me though, I think if you were to take a chance on Undeniable you would enjoy it.

Erin's Review 

I think Miss Malone is really getting into this series, and the characters and story are coming alive with a detail and reality that are making each one a stronger book than the previous.  While I wasn’t a huge fan of the earlier books, I feel like they are definitely a part of a larger book-world and being able to see the growth of the characters is making the series stronger.

Book One in this duet gave us the hint of a happily ever for Tristan and Ariel, but we knew there would be more hiccups to the plan, including a crazy road trip planned by Penny and Ariel.  So we’re not only working a happily ever after for one couple in the book, but the crazy conspiracy theories abound and keep us on our toes!

We know and love Tristan and Ariel already.  But this book gave us way a much more intricate backstory to both characters that had the readers really connecting with these two.  They were forced to divulge a lot of information to friends and family, and make tough choices.  Through it all, we got to read chapters by not only the main characters of this book, but by beloved past characters like the King and Queen.  All of which led to a better understanding of not only Ariel and Tristan, but many in their close circle.  

These two have had waves of pheromones and chemistry coming off them in waves for multiple books.  So it was no surprise to see some salacious sexy times.  But the depth of the relationship was explored and we got to see a romantic and thought out side of both of them; along with a lot of jealousy and love!

I opened this book a bit leery, not sure if I’d get sucked in or not; but I was quickly taken back to the Winston Isles and immersed into the conspiracies and romance of the island.  Cringing when the reader could connect some dots the characters couldn’t, and gasping when I was as surprised as they at a new turn of events.  I loved seeing the past main characters, with chapters in their voice.  It brings the back into itself, making the overall story arc much stronger.

I am so into these books now!  Starting out I kept plodding through as I was caught up, but struggling with the first few feeling mechanical and eerily similar.  These last few have been great at keeping the reader involved, entranced, and intrigued!  I’m sure Ashton has more crazy in store for us as we get to know more of the Royal Elite and see the rest of the Royal family fall in love.

“All the feels, 5 stars”

Harmony once knew what love was. It was this beautiful relationship that she never saw ending. Until it did. And now she’s picking up the pieces. Harmony’s at the point of acceptance and trying to move on. What she didn’t expect was her feelings for Brendon. The man who was her childhood friend, friends with her husband, and her support system. Will she risk their friendship for a relationship?

Brendon is in love with Harmony. He didn’t mean to fall for his best friend’s girl, but it happened. Not when it would have been bad though, only recently. He can’t help but want to be with her. Problem is he’s got issues of his own and he knows he doesn’t deserve her. The question is he willing to try though..

Ryan killed Shouldn’t Have You. The amount of emotion in this story is unlike any other widow book I’ve read. I love how these two had been friends forever and then everything changed. I simply cannot put into words how Shouldn’t Have You made me feel. I was pulled in until the very last page and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. If you one-click Shouldn’t Have You, you won’t regret it.
