TITLE - The Lucky Heart
AUTHOR - Devney Perry

Pre-Order

Releases August 15th

BLURB:

Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.

Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.

Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.

REVIEW:

“Second chance, forgiveness, and love, 5 stars”

Felicity left home sixteen years ago on the run. She was running from her mistakes. See Felicity loved two men and she didn’t want to hurt either of them. Now she’s home and only one remains. Felicity is on an apology tour trying to right all the things she thinks she did wrong. When the truth comes out does it really set you free? What happens when you accept what your heart has always been telling you?

Silas has always loved Felicity, but he didn’t get to her first. So, he stood on the sidelines and waited for his turn. The first time he got the girl it was short lived. He took off and created a life for himself, but Silas home now and ready to claim the one woman who he’s always wanted. Silas decided long ago that he was okay with being Lis’s second choice, but what happens when you find out you might have been wrong the whole time?

This is a story of these two trying to find their way. They are older now and playing for keeps. All the secondary characters were fantastic. I truly hope Perry gives at least three of them their own books. I could see The Lucky Heart playing out like a movie in my head. I fell into the story and didn’t come out until I was finished. If you’re looking for a second chance romance with a little country thrown in this is definitely the story for you.
