REVIEW - A Pinch of Salt - Bethany Lopez

TITLE - A Pinch of Salt
AUTHOR - Bethany Lopez

Releases August 21st

BLURB:

For the past year, talented chef Millie has been consumed with running her new catering business with her sisters, Dru and Tasha. It isn't until Jackson walks through their door that she realizes something may be missing in the recipe of her life.

For the past year, Jackson has been dealing with the fallout of his wife's abandonment. He's had to learn how to be a single father to their eight-year-old daughter, and will do anything to fill the void her mother left. It isn't until he commissions Millie for his daughter's birthday party that he realizes he's forgotten that he's not only a father, but a man.

They both think they're content in their lives, but sometimes the right amount of spice can turn an okay dish into a magnificent one. A Pinch of Salt may be all that's needed to bring Millie and Jackson the flavor they've been missing.

REVIEW:

“Sweet with a touch of salt, 4 stars”

Millie and her two sisters have been hard at work getting their business up and off the ground. So far they have been rich in business and love for each other, but their actual love lives have been lacking.

Millie didn’t realize it until she met Jackson, but she’s starting to get burnt out on always putting the business first. It’s time to hand over some responsibility, but that isn’t always a smooth sail.

Jackson has had his hands full since his wife decided she didn’t want to be a mother anymore and walked out. He’s got a nine-year-old daughter who he’s trying to play both parent roles to. When he sees Millie he’s ready to start putting his needs on the list. How will his daughter react to having another woman in the picture?

Lopez was a new to me author, I had never read her before and I’m glad I took the chance on her. The title A Pinch of Salt totally peaked my curiosity. The couple were ridiculously sweet, and I loved them speaking literature to each other. They synced and it was great. I loved Millie’s sisters and can’t wait to get more of them as well.

Here are a couple quotes from A Pinch of Salt that made me smile;

“Sometimes a pinch of salt is all you need to take something bland, and make it absolutely delicious”

“You’re the pinch of salt we needed to spice up our lives”
