REVIEW - Miss Fix-It - Emma Hart

TITLE - Miss Fix-It

AUTHOR - Emma Hart

Released Oct 31st

BLURB:

One handywoman.
One single dad.
One set of twins.
And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled…
I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn’t easy. The questions, the stares—the assumption I’m the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I’ve proven over and over that I’m ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.
Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town.
Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.
On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.
In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.
I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.
And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.
Oops…
MISS FIX-IT is a brand-new, standalone romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, who brought you BEING BROOKE and CATCHING CARLY.

Johnaka's Review:

“Sometimes you don’t even know what you want until its right in front of you, 5 stars”

We all have a Kali in our life. The woman who’s strongly independent, doesn’t need a man, and really has no interest in having a family of her own. Kali, like most of the women we know change their mind once they meet the right guy. The guy who makes us question everything we thought we ever wanted, and for Kali that guy is Brantley. Is Kali willing to take on the craziness that is Brantley’s life?

Brantley is a single dad of twins. His life is a circus after picking up and moving cross country with his twins. When Kali shows up at his door to do work on his house he had no idea how much his life was about to change. Somehow without Brantley and Kali realising it Kali just fits herself into his life with his kids. Brantley discovers that it’s okay to move on, but will Kali accept the fact that she wants not just a family but this family?

I loved these two. The witty sense of humour between the two and the playfulness was everything. At one point they are chasing each other around the dining room table, which I loved because I believe it’s important to be playful when you can and serious when its needed. They accepted the other without question and didn’t try to change them.

The twins were polar opposites and I loved them. I have two kids of my own who are very similar to the twins with their antics so it was ridiculously easy for me to get lost in the story and picturing everything that happened happening.  Hart gave us a story that will remind you how easy it is to fall in love if only you are willing to accept it. One-click and take a chance on falling in love with these four.
