Devyn O’Neil, princess of the Irish Mob, was raised to know her place. Marrying a man of her father’s choosing has always been her fate. Yet, she never imagined that one day she’d play the part of a pawn between men on the verge of war. She never dreamed she’d be betrothed to a Russian badman.

Timofei Vetrov, son of New York’s Bratva king, grew up to be a bad boy prince. Taking for granted his life of privilege, he scoffed at the rules and did as he pleased. When the Irish murdered his mother, her death changed everything. He never dreamed he’d one day be king. He never imagined such a loss would thrust him into the role of a real man.

A marriage, meant to unite the Irish with the Russians and forge a bond of peace, soon becomes much more. The fathers that bind them together cannot foresee the strength that Timofei and Devyn can uncover in their union. Together, their love has the potential to change the game entirely—yet it is a force that can only be reckoned with once found.

Do you FLOVE sexy badmen who are devoted to the women in their lives? Yes? This story is perfect for you then. This book is an amazing bratva/mob book. What will you find in this book? A sexy as hell hot bratva leader, a sassy and sexy female to match him, some explosive and sensual scenes, mystery, and tons and ton and did I mention tons? Of heat! If you love mafia/mob romances as much as I do, then don’t hesitate to pick up this book. This book is a standalone in the series. I have only read one other book in the series.

The plot of this book is my favorite of all the genres. An arranged marriage between two characters? Sign me up. These books usually have some interesting getting to know you scenes and this book did not disappoint. I loved watching these two get used to their new circumstances. They each are trying to find where they fit in this new life. This is a book I will reread over and over.

Devyn is a sexy yet sweet character. I love that we get to know her so well. She makes one decision in the book that I felt really empowered her, which made me cheer inside. She is such a strong character that doesn’t realize the strength she has inside of her. Timofei is another sexy as sin male character that I have now fallen in love with. He is so fiercely protective of what is his. This is the hottest thing in a man to me. To be protective and possessive, but not overbearingly so. I feel this author has captured this perfectly.

The heat between these two literally melts the pages. Two very attractive people shoved into a new situation? This causes a lot of tension that translates into some truly devious scenes between the characters. I love the use of the heat to covey different messages. Love, hope, anger, disappointment. I feel all of these are conveyed in some of the steamy scenes between our main characters.

I loved the way this book was written. The pace is steady and exactly what I expect from a book like this. There are some plot twists and surprises that I did not see coming. I love being surprised. I also love how the characters and plot are written. This book is easy to read. I think the most important part of this book is I could feel Devyn’s disappointment and heart break in the book. I physically teared up at a couple of parts. This author was able to make me feel what the character was feeling. That is truly a special gift.

In conclusion, I floved this book. Seriously, I now need to go back and read all of the others because I need more bratva men in my life. I can honestly say Timofei is my new book boyfriend. I wish he would come and be my hero. I would one thousand percent recommend this book to others.

I was born and raised in California. My husband and I met when I was just 16. We were married a few years later, moving to Oregon while he was in the US Coast Guard.
Texas is now where we call home, where our boots rest, and where we're raising our two little boys and a chocolate lab named Optimus Prime.
