Blog Tour & Review - Deep Redemption by Tillie Cole

SYNOPSIS

ONLY THROUGH BLOOD CAN THE DEEPEST REDEMPTION BE FOUND…

He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.

Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has
been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side
until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin
brother.

Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security
of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with
them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he
can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held
dear…

But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next
to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain
understands needs him, as he needs her.

As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right
the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his
name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence,
sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics.
Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Our Review

I just, I mean, how am I going to review this without spoilers???
I'm genuinely concerned im going to ruin it, just by saying the characters names! So for the sake of the blog tour im going to change the names.
Main Man in this story with henceforth known as = TM (The Man)
Main Woman will now be known as = HW  (His Woman).

So obvs we know who main man is meant to be, but we also know that after the end of souls unfractured, that all is not as it seems with TM and so the one we're reading about could be either of them, and of course Tillie Cole wrote this so their could easily be a third brother ready to creep out the woodwork and mess with our heads. Anyway TM now has to deal with the fallout of his prior actions and swiftly comes to realises his whole life was more of a lie than he ever imagined.  Enter HW to throw him into more turmoil. they are basically a crutch to each other at their worst moments and they need to work together and apart to fight their way out of the massive mess they're in. Which they do, but that's just the beginning of their battle and this battle may mean them even turning on each other.

GAH!!!!!! I still can't even. I was at a book event this weekend and was reading this in the hotel the night after. My room mate had to put up with me for several hours, randomly shouting "Oh my god" "She did not just do that" & "Arrrrggggghhhhh"  She also had to list to me read out random quotes that just made me melt. Fun times! (For me anyway)
"I wondered why he kept calling me ' baby'. I had never heard such a term being used towards a grown woman, yet I recognized endearment in his tone."
TM was always just another character to me in this series, so whilst I wanted to continue with the series, I didn't feel any bonds with him (Like I did with Flame and I do with Viking) however by the last few chapters I was mewling at my kindle, totally rooting for him and calling other characters every name under the sun. The connection was made and nothing will sever it now! HW I was ambivilous to for the most part, until about 45 %, when it all became clear and I could have yelled at myself for being such a numpty and not seeing who & what she really was! Like DUH!!!! Once I had that in my head I was all over team TM & HW and when 'people' tried to get in the way of that.

I gotta be honest and say the cursed sisters, REALLY pissed me off during this one, yeah they salvaged a lot of it later on, but that brief annoyance has stuck with me and I'm not a quick one to forgive. That Mae. *shakes head* don't think i'll ever be liking her again. Additionally I should mention, that Viking is an absolute unforgivable bastard in this book and I don't know how thats going to be turned around cos I bloody love him! But I can't wait for it. The ground work was laid in Deep Redemption for the next book, but alas it won't be Vike's.

To summarise, I'm both happy and angry, sad and mad. I really was put through the ringer with this one and the fact that I didn't give it a full five stars is purely down to my personal feelings on how some of the characters behaved. This story as a whole? Tillie Cole Smashed it.

"Yes, we have a home... with a room that I think has been waiting just for you."
