Release + Review - The Lying Season - K.A. Linde

A new second chance standalone office romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

Walking away from Sam Rutherford was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

It’s been five years since that day, and I’ve given up on looking for love. My focus is on my career. And it’s paid off—I’m successfully managing the reelection for the mayor of New York City.

Then Sam walks into my office as the new legal counsel. Which means I have to see him every single day from now until November. We vow to remain professional, but it’s a small office. The sly glances and his blistering charm are unavoidable.

It all feels so familiar. Too comfortable. After what happened the first time…I should know better.

If I’m not careful, he’ll break my heart all over again.

And I don’t know if I can survive Sam a second time.

Johnaka's Review
“Upper east-side, 5 stars”

We’re back ladies and gentlemen to the upper east-side. This go around we get to spend time with Lark. The mysterious Lark who was the glue who held her group together. In the Lying Season we get her story and ugh it was so good. I loved seeing old and new characters. Sam is our hero that at times I wanted to sucker punch in the face. But that’s normal right? In the end I was cheering for them to get their happily ever after. You cannot go wrong with The Lying Season and I cannot wait to see who Linde writes next.

Louise's Review
The Lying Season is a standalone second chance love book that takes you on a ride of the rich and famous.

Larkin has lived a privileged life but what her parents want from her and what she wants out of life are completely different. Doing her dream job, she face to face with her past, the one past that destroyed her and broke her heart. Sam moved to be with his girlfriend and what he didn’t expect was to see his ex-girlfriend, when feelings start to surface how will they move forward with all the baggage they are carrying?

I personally enjoyed reading this book, Linde kept me hanging on and I finished it in 1 sitting. I am looking forward to Court and English in The Hating Season.
