Review: Rachel

Rachel
Rachel by C.D. Reiss

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just like the other short chapters added in, this was hugely important to the story and showed parts that were missing. After reading this I'm inclined to feel quite sorry for Jonathan, he doesn't seem to go out of his way to be malicious and cruel. Yet bad things happen to him. Also poor Rachel.

OMG Wow!! What an amazing end to an amazing series of books.
I'm still kind of in shock at just how crazy and amazing that last part was. It kept up the intensity of the other books but seemed slightly different too. Perhaps the emotional side of this one is what made it feel different. I really can't say a great deal about this book without somehow giving away the cliff hanger from the book before and spoiling it all. All I can say is, that the buildup of the other parts of this story made for a crazy intense ending part.
I was actually bawling and blubbing quite messily for the last section of this book, I was annoying myself. I really don't think it could of gotten any better. Amazingly done. With some shockers thrown in. Definitely lacking any slow or boring bits, I couldn't even pause for bathroom breaks. Not pleasant.
I can happily say these books have become fast favourites of mine and can't wait to see what comes next. :)

The pace of this story was really intense. Although it still had it's trademark hotter than hot sex scenes, they were mixed in with a very full on story.
Right from the start, when Jonathan and Monica manage to catch up after the arrest. He won't tell her anything until he attacks her first, in the good sense of course.
This part shows a lot more of what lengths Jessica is prepared to go to,to get what she wants. Very devious!
It is full on action right from the start. Right up to the hideous cliff hanger of an ending. I was going mad in the wee small hours of night with that one. Excellent again.

Amazing as expected. Monica attempts to walk away from Jonathan, but obviously struggles like mad. Who wouldn't?
Nice to see he is suffering too, although very cocky in his expectations of her walking back shortly.
The wait is annoying as you know they have to be together. Yet, Monica has to do this.
Still finding crazy ex Kevin very odd and concerning. As shown during this part.
Ending, is major annoying as i didn't have the next part to read and contemplated screaming. I did it silently of course.
So desperate to read on as i'm left after the cliff hanger thinking the worst.

Well, this installment suddenly gets interesting. Monica decides to give herself to Jonathan fully. Becoming his submissive partner. That was definitely exciting!! :)
Some very dark undertones to this story, namely weird ex Kevin and whats going on his mind. Will he, won't he act out on his bizarre thoughts.
So lots of different things going on at once which is very exciting. Considering just how few pages each installment has.
Really loving these books!!

I've just managed to fly through 2 of these today as I just couldn't stop reading!
It would seem book 3 has taken a more serious turn in many ways. Monica and Jonathan's relationship has taken a very different path and experimental for both of them. Yet there is a lot of things being thrown in their way to try and stop them.
On top of all that, some more sad topics thrown in to test poor Monica.
I thought these short books would be quite light and easy to read, but it seems there is a lot more to come out of them. They are becoming incredibly addictive and intense. I think as they are so short you have to have the next part immediately or it could be very frustrating.
Loving them.

Wow. These little, quick reads are really hot and intense.
I seem to get the end and curse at how short they are. All in a good way of course.
Number 2 in this series is even shorter, but in no way lacking any depth. The amount of detail squeezed into each installment is amazing.
I like how with each book you still get to learn new bits of info about Jonathan and Monica.
Their relationship is in the early days and I'm not sure if it is yet a conventional relationship. Yet what they do have is very intense and extremely hot! Can't wait for book 3!
