REVIEW - Hot Stuff - Kim Karr

TITLE - Hot Stuff
AUTHOR - Kim Karr

Released September 27th

BLURB:

Life hasn't been the same since returning from Barbados. Josh has fallen. Hard. Unable to shake the feelings Ella stirred up in him, he retreats further into himself. He can't tell her how he feels, because even if he did, it wouldn't change the fact that she's married.

Complicated is an understatement for Ella as she works through her own personal hell after finding out her dead husband is, in fact, alive and in hiding again. But life, and work, must go on.

An undercover job on a four-week cruise should be an easy mission for the Cole Enterprise operatives. Unfortunately, the client is one of Ella's childhood friends, which leaves the pair wishing they'd come up with something other than being engaged as their cover. Playing the part may just hurt them both.

Falling in love is never easy. In fact, it can sometimes be downright painful. No strangers to pain, Josh and Ella find themselves at the crossroads of duty and love. Lines will be blurred. Hearts will be broken. And all that they are will be tested.

REVIEW:

“The Quarterback and the Athletic Trainer, 5 stars”

I love Karr. To me it seems like each book is better than the last. Hot Stuff is so far, my favorite. I adore sports romances so going into this story I knew I was going to enjoy it but I ended up loving it more than I thought I would. She balanced the world of football and love seamlessly.

Gillian has always loved the game of football. Growing up her dad was a hot shot quarterback and grew up on the road with him. All he ever wanted for her was a normal life, but that’s not what she wanted. It’s her last training camp before graduation and it’s a tough one. She’s supposed to say goodbye to the life she loves for the life of normal her father has always craved for her. Only she gets a little side tracked by her father’s shining star quarterback, Lucas. Gillian has never been with a player but maybe it’s time to change things up.

Lucas has had one goal for as long as he can remember, get out of Chicago. He thought the draft was his ticket out of town only he got drafted to the Bears and is stuck in the city he grew up in. Lucas knows the rules and isn’t about to break from them, until he sees Gillian. They were like magnets that’s couldn’t be broken apart. They drifted towards each other without a thought. But what will happen when Lucas’ coach finds out his star player is in bed with his daughter?

I loved everything about this couple and the secondary characters. It fed my need for sports and love. It’s probably my favorite sports romance of 2017 so far. Do us all a favor and dive in to Hot Stuff, you won’t be disappointed.
