REVIEW - Reluctant - Marla Josephs

TITLE - Reluctant
AUTHOR - Marla Josephs

BLURB:

Fallon has had a long and rough couple of years. She's ready now to work on putting the past behind her and focus on putting her life back together. A trip to see her best friend to hang out and create some new happy memories seems just the way to start off her new life. However, the first person she meets is Reid Snow, who threatens her peace of mind. Fallon does everything to resist his bad boy charm. The last thing she needs is someone else bringing drama into her life. But, when tragedy strikes Reid is the one who she turns to.

Reid Snow has gone from an unknown to a well known. He never had a problem in the female department until he's taken in by a gold digger who is after more than just his good looks. Before becoming a well known actor, women always wanted him for himself. Determined not to be suckered again, he finds himself extremely attracted to the best friend of his best friend's sister. The only problem is, he's not interested in anything more than casual hook-ups. But, even if Fallon would give him the time of day, which she doesn't seem inclined to do, starting something with her could jeopardize his friendship with his best friend.

Johnaka's Review:

Fallon and Reid have a love story that we don't get very often. Fallon has had a rough couple of years and is spending some time with her best friend Alexa. Alexa isn't home when Fallon gets there, only a mystery man who ends up being Alexa's brother Nick's, best friend Reid. Its like the two were passing ships never meeting before now.

Reid instantly wants Fallon only she wants nothing to do with him, but he's a patient guy. Fallon is trying to build her life back to solid ground, not get into a relationship. But sometimes love finds you when you least expect it. When Fallon has some problems Reid is there through it all. The girl who craves her privacy falls for the guy who's life is under the microscope and viewed by everyone. Will they make it as a couple or will friendships be tainted in the end?

I love how both Fallon and Reid knew what they wanted. The secondary characters were strong and supportive and made the story complete.
