Last Chance is a story of love and heartache proving that
life is not always fair, but it's worth the pain to get the moments you’ll
treasure forever.
Mackenzie
From the very first moment I laid eyes on him, I knew my
heart was his for the taking. He was the boy who filled me with butterflies and
made my palms turn clammy at the mere sight of him.
There was only one problem… he was my best friend’s older
brother.
It’s been eight years since I’ve last seen him, and I refuse
to live another day without telling him the truth. So here I stand, taking my
last chance to get him to notice me, my last chance to see if he feels the same
way.
I need to know if he is just a fantasy, or if he could be my
reality…
Before my reality changes forever.
Connor
I never wanted a girlfriend; I was burned by love and vowed
to never go down that road again. But when the beautiful girl I’ve known
practically my entire life snuck her way into my arms there was something that
changed in me. I wanted to be with her, next to her. Just simply kissing her
lips made my life complete.
Now I have one mission.
To make hers complete, too.

AUTHOR BIO:
Let me just say, that this book was an amazing read. It sucked me in from the very first page. The main characters Mackenzie and Connor will make you feel show some emotions while reading this wonderfully written book about best friends who turn to each other for more and show us that life is unfair. You have to just take life and what is handed on your plate and live to the fullest. That is what Mackenzie and Connor did in this story.
Mackenzie -this woman is a strong human being and the way she handled everything that was happening to her. The way she didn’t want to tell people her diagnosis, I get as she didn’t want people to look at her differently. She had a crush on Connor since she was 11 years old. All she ever dreamed about was kissing him and being with him.
Connor-this man is such a caring individual it made me swoon over him. The way he respected Mackenzie’s wishes; making sure she did everything possible and taking the time to help her. He fell for her fast.
The author made sure to include supporting characters such as family members on both sides and roommates that make the story complete. She made me feel like I was with Mackenzie and Connor. My heart was hurting though at a few moments in this book.
“Let me be your fantasy one more time.”
There are many parts of this book that are my favorite, one of them being the list Mackenzie made of things she wants to do and the way Connor surprised her with one item she mentioned but didn’t put on the list.
“You gave me Mia. She’s my forever with you, and I’ll never be able to thank you enough for her.”
