REVIEW - Book of Souls - Nadine Nightingale

TITLE - Book Of Souls

AUTHOR - Nadine Nightingale

BLURB:

They call me Angel of Death, but my name is Nisha Blake. I am Shepherdstown’s living urban legend. My life, a tale of the macabre.

People avoid me like the plague. Well, everyone but my friends. They don’t see the Angel of Death when they look at me. They see poor, broken Nisha—the bully victim, suffering from vicious night terrors and vivid hallucinations.

Things take a turn for the worse when Blaze shows up. He’s a too hot, tattooed, bad-ass MMA fighter from London, hell-bent on getting to know me. Since he walked into my miserable life, my hallucinations graduated to a point where I can no longer differentiate between fiction and reality.

I am insane.
Broken beyond repair.
Or so I think until—

I uncover a secret form the past—a link between all the deaths, my hallucinations, and my night terrors. It’s then I understand I’m not the Angel of Death.

I am something else.
Someone else.

Johnaka's Review:

“Egyptian gods and goddess and the fight for mankind, 5 stars”

I am going to keep this review short and sweet, one-click Book of Souls and you wont regret it. Nightingale weaves a story that’s part real life Egyptian mythology and part imagination. You get sucked in so far you don’t want to come up for air and when you finish reading Book of Souls you’ll be begging for the next book.

A lot of the time when dealing with myths involving gods one can easily get lost and confused, but Nightingale makes it incredibly easy to follow and accurate. Nisha and most of those around her believe she’s the Angel of Death. Death follows wherever she goes and she’s always a witness. People are usually terrified of her but there are those who love her and know better to believe the gossip. When she starts to have other things happen to her and around her she believes she’s finally losing what little she has left, when in reality the past is about to meet the present. One thing is certain Nisha is loyal to those who are loyal to her, but will they stay by her side?

What about the tattooed mystery bad boy who wants her? Nisha's afraid to let him close in fear he will die but maybe just maybe he’s supposed to be by her side. What part in the past does he unknowingly play? Read Book of Souls and find out how the past can meet the present and if good or evil will prevail. I absolutely loved Blaze and Nisha, put the two together and it was perfection.  If you one-click you wont be disappointed.
