Australian author K E Osborn was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. With a background in graphic design and a flair for all things creative, she felt compelled to write the story brewing in her mind. 

Writing gives her life purpose. It makes her feel, laugh, cry, and get completely enveloped with the characters and their story lines. She feels completely at home when writing and wouldn’t consider doing anything else.

If you could have written any book which book would it be and why?
The Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens, I loved that series and it has been the one that has stuck with me since I started reading. It is the one I always recommend first to everyone who asks. 


Who is your favourite of your own characters (either already written or still in your head) and why?
That's like trying to ask who is your favourite child! But I can narrow it down to two - Colter Slade from the Rock God Series and Hudson Stone from The Shattered Heart Series.

Colt because he was my first Alpha male, he was fun to write and also challenging because he could be so stupid.

Hudson because he too was an alpha but he has a romantic side that I loved, even though he was a stubborn arse at times. 


Best book you have read so far this year?
Best book this year would be The Same Deep Water by Lisa Swallow, it delves into mental health issues and it is told so well the emotion is oozing from the pages.

Favourite book of all time is the Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens. 


Are there any other authors who inspire you?
Every author inspires me. Every author has their own story, some work full time, some have multitudes of children, some don't have any. Some spend all day working on their writing and everyone has their own back grounds and dramas that they have to deal with.
So every person who writes one single word on a page inspires me, because everyone has hardships but they fight through it to bring their characters to life, and if they can do it - I can too. 


Favourite thing that's been said about one of your books?
Whenever a scene in my books brings people to the point of tears that makes me happy. To know I've put enough emotion in there for them to tell me it made them emotional always brings me happiness even if it is a little sadistic lol 


What does the next twelve months look like in your book world?
Busy lol. I have a lot of books in mind for the next twelve months, whether I can get them all written is another thing, but fingers crossed and with a bit of good luck I will get them all out to the readers. 


Who is your current book boyfriend and who is your all time, old faithful, go to book boyfriend?
 My current book boyfriend is Kellan Kyle lol you will think I'm obsessed! I'm reading Thoughtful at the moment by SC. Stephens. 

My go to book boyfriend would have to be Christian Grey, he started it all for me. I read FSOG and it started my love affair with the romance genre, without Christian there would be no K E Osborn. 

If you were stuck on an island with just one paperback book, which book would it be? The Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens.
 

Favorite line from a book.
 And maybe, just maybe Aiden is my exception.

Okay maybe I stole that from my own book, but it's the line I remember from my very first novel and it has stuck in my head forever as one of those awww moments in the book.

What's your go to karaoke song?
Cowboy Casanova Carrie Underwood. 


You've opened up your wardrobe and your clothes aren't there, instead it's your dream world! You walk through, what's the first thing you see?
Channing Tatum, Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavil holding cocktails. And a life size Chewbacca just for fun that would be cool lol (and funny) 


Is there a particular genre, maybe outside your comfort zone that you would like to write?
Sci-fi - I have one in mind that I am dying to write but there's so many voices in my head I need to write the others first lol. 


What's the best and worst advice you've ever received?
The best is to keep writing. Everyday even when you don't feel like it, just keep writing.

The worst, probably to go with the cheapest editor you can find on google. 


What words do you love to use, and see in books, and what words do you hate to use / see?
Love to use - infinitesimally lol I don't know why but I love it
Hate to use and see would be moist urgh so bad!  


If you had one superpower, what would it be?
to be able to write a good book in one day. 


Most underrated author / book you've read?
Still Life Series by A.M. Johnson - that girl has talent and people need to read her series like STAT!!!


Who is your absolute favourite man candy?
Oh God just one? Probably Chris Hemsworth? Go for an Aussie lol 

What book is your #BookZero? That one book you've read and re read, and know you will re read it again?
I'm strange I don't tend to re-read books. I like to have that feeling of being so emotionally attached to a book fro the first time you read it. It's like if I re-read it and I feel differently about it the second time then the love I had for it will disappear and I don't want that to happen so I don't re-read.

If you didn't write books, what would you be doing?
probably reception work -boooooo lol

There is a massive awards ceremony for authors both trad published and indie. Its a big shindig and everyone is there. In a room full of these incredible people. Who is the author that makes you mush and you totally fangirl over them?

REVIEW - Get Rocked - KE Osborn

Being a seven-year-old child of poverty and living with a single mother, not to mention being terminally ill, would be a challenge for anyone. Caleb McCormack grew up not knowing who his father was. Caleb was thrust into a new world full of wealth and status. A life he never knew existed, one he had only dreamed of. Caleb’s father was not only rich, but incredibly famous. So famous, that all the world knew his name. Caleb is the love child of Huxley Slade, the backing guitarist for the world’s most famous rock band Slayed.

My Review:

Get Rocked is the second book in the Next Generation series. The Next Generation Series is about the children of the characters from the Rock God series. This book can be read as a standalone book, but would be better enjoyed by reading the first book in the series. I have not read the Rock God series so I cannot comment on if this book would be better after reading that series as well.

Get Rocked follows Caleb, the lead singer of the band Staked, as he navigates through life. The story is told from both Caleb and his best friend, Indie’s pov. The story is told as a narrative with some dialog intertwined. This story is also told over many years with some time jumps.

Personally, I liked the writing style in this book. I liked how the story was told as a narrative at times and then included specific scenes at other times. I also liked the alternating pov. I love being able to tell what each character is thinking. I also like that the reader is able to then see the intention behind actions and how they are perceived by the other character. I think this adds a layer to the story that you do not normally get with a one pov story. I also enjoyed that I felt the book was being played out like a movie in my head. I could actually picture the scenes in my head being narrated. I think this eliminated some of the smaller details that sometimes feel unnecessary.

Due to the fact that I read the first book, I had an easier time with the time jumps in this book. I did not get as confused since I also knew some of the backstory from the first book in the series, which is told as a parallel to this book. What I love most is that since I read the first book, I was able to see scenes that included Caleb in the first book be played out in this book. I am also able to see his reactions and how it made him feel.

I think the author did a good job developing the characters as well. I think that the author was brave by including topics that are serious and dark. Indie and Caleb both have things in their past that haunt them and cause them pain. Life is never easy and I think the author did a good job at showing how some deep rooted issues can cause a domino effect in all the friendships and relationships in a person’s life. This is a realistic aspect of the story that I really enjoyed.

The only things that bothered me about this book was the time jumps not being labeled clearly. Also, it was hard for me to read the title of the chapters so I wasn’t always sure whose pov I was reading. These are both just minor things that did not affect the story overall for me though. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and would absolutely recommend a friend to read it.

My Review:

Sometimes being famous can suck. And for Lexii Rock that time is now. 

Lexii finds out while on a late night show that her boyfriend was having an affair, Chao dude. Shortly after she gets a call saying her dad is sick and not doing well, so she does the only thing she can, gets a disguise and goes home.

Bash has always been the guy next door to the house of Lexii Rocks childhood home. She has and always will be his dream girl. But when he runs into Lexii neither of them are as they remember.

Bash decides to play her game of pretending not knowing who she is, and maybe just maybe he will get the girl in the end. Hopefully Lexii's dad will pull through health wise. Read to find out what else is thrown into the “couple's” paths.

Here's part of a scene I got a kick out of;

“You have Asperger’s?” she asked Alexandra, who was rolling her eyes now. “That’s so unique ! I’m Hannah, and I’m totally not against dating someone with a disability.”

“This guy Bash here, he’s with his little brother who has Asperger’s. He’s trying to teach him how to pick up women. Isn’t he such a sweetheart to do that? I just knew the minute I saw him he wasn’t like other guys.”

Now for my personal opinion on this book, to me it fell a little flat. It was basically a book of their friendship. Nothing happened, and there really wasn't that many funny situations. It was basically a giant ball of awkwardness and lies. Then to top it off this book ends with a cliffhanger, when it honestly wouldn't have taken much more to end. I just couldn't get into it.

REVIEW - Hooker Heels - Ryan Ringbloom

My Review:

Hooker Heels was a surprising book. There were quite a few twists that I didn’t expect, which made the story that much more thrilling. I also want to point out that the blurb about the book definitely leaves plenty of mystery to what the story will be about, which is absolutely a good thing. Too often I read a blurb that pretty much tells me the whole story, revealing all the surprises. This blub had me thinking I knew where author Ryan Ringbloom was going with this book. I am very happy to say, I was wrong.

Ryan Ringbloom is a brilliant author. This is the first book of hers I have read, but I can already tell that she knows how to write amazing books. The major plot to this book is revealed quite quickly, but the way it develops is anything, but predictable. I thought for certain this book was going to end chapters before it really ended, but BAM throw in a plot twist and the whole direction of the story changes. I absolutely loved this aspect of the book. I loved being thrown through a loop and then try to recover from the sudden turn. Absolutely brilliant writing here.

The main characters are Kenna and Zack. Zack had family issues and is trying to step out of his father’s shadow and create his own legacy. Kenna is a poor, young girl who has troubles of her own. Throw these two together and you have entertainment that will last hours. Ryan did a remarkable job when she thought about how she wanted these characters to develop. I honestly thought this book was going to be a little more light and airy, but was pleasantly surprised by the seriousness of some of the content in the book. She used this content to further both the storyline and help develop each character.
Oh and if you want to talk about heat, this book has plenty. Put Zack and Kenna in a room together, and there is sure to be heat. Ryan was able to create scenes in which the reader felt these characters were organically evolving. The scenes that contain heat are done in a way that the reader feels like this was the natural progression of the story. I like that Ryan does not cheapen the story just to add extra heated scenes that feel forced.

I also think that the minor characters were able to have a small spotlight. Kenna’s best friend Tori has her own book that I think was previously published before Hooker Heels. Tori makes a couple of appearances within this book, which provides an update to those who read her book. I also think it set up an opportunity to allow Tariq, Kenna’s step brother, to have his own book. The only character I felt like I wanted to know more about was Zack’s father. I feel like he did not have a large enough role in this book. With that being my only criticism, I really liked this book.

Overall, I love Hooker Heels. I am honored that I was able to read and review this book. I would recommend this book to friends and family as it was written beautifully. I will be purchasing my own copy, as well as checking out other books by Ryan Ringbloom. The bar has been set high by Hooker Heels, but I bet her other books hold just as much great writing as this one does.

To the readers:

When I say a treat, I mean a treat! This anthology is a smorgasbord of romance! 
We've got bikers, we've got fighters, we've got good boys, we've got bad boys. We've got funny and we've got emotion. We've got super sexy we've super sweet. There is something for everyone! 
A chapter or two from each author, with a little something special from the couple's we love. After sitting and reading it all, I can't possibly review each passage, it would be wrong of me. I don't know all the histories and I would be doing the writers a disservice. I will say this though. There wasn't a single passage in here that I didn't enjoy.
I did have a few favourites though.........

Lisa Eugene's super hot story about an even hotter doctor. 

Nina Levine with a sexy scene between the couple who started it all J & Madison

JL Beck and the BOMBSHELL she dropped

So, buy the book. It's only 99 pennies and I PROMISE it's worth it!
