But if ever there’s a time to start over, it’s Christmas. What she doesn’t expect is to find the man of her dreams staying in the room next to hers at B’s Bed and Breakfast.

War hero Trig Whatley is looking for a place to call home. Since losing his leg in Afghanistan, he hasn’t found a place to fit in or a woman who can see him for the strong, whole man he is. When he accepts his friend’s invitation to come for a visit, he discovers so much more is waiting for him in the tiny mountain town than just a good time.

Will Charlotte and Trig find their forever under the mistletoe or will they go their separate ways by the time everyone in town is singing Auld Lang Syne? Find out in One Hundred Christmas Kisses.

OUR REVIEW
One Hundred Christmas Kisses by Kelly Collins
Review by Erin Hurst

First off, I had the pleasure of reading this book over Veterans Day, so a huge thank you to all the veterans out there. Your service is much appreciated. This lovely book brings us back to Aspen Cove, so while it does have a happily ever after, it is part of the Aspen Cove world and is best read with the rest of the books. It's fine as a standalone, or if you have missed a book, but you get the most out of each if read as part of the whole.

Our characters both have some soul searching to do in order to move forward in the lives. They each have struggles to overcome, and need to learn to let go of the past, lean on friends and family, and look forward to a bright future. I enjoyed this book. Small town Colorado is a great place, and the characters in this book series are always pleasant to read about.

Trig is a veteran who lost part of leg due to an IED while serving his country. Though now healthy, he still has to come to terms with his new reality and find his place in the world. He has a chunky therapy animal named Clovis. They are each other's emotional support person though, and Clovis is good for quite a few “awww” moments. Trig is looking for a new start, a new home; and is hoping his military buddy who lives in Aspen Cove can help him on his way. Charlie is returning to Aspen Cove, where she grew up. But she left 10 years ago... Now she's returning without a job or home and rescues Trig and Clovis from a winter storm. In turn, they all three work in some Christmas magic.

Charlie's flustered by Trig's tall, handsome good looks early on. Trig is taken by Charlie's personality and sexy wholesomeness. They have some sparks, but it takes a moment to build. But it goes quickly and despite some awkward moments that just lend themselves to making the characters more real, their sparks fly.

Kelly Collins consistently writes really good books! You're drawn into how these characters are going to work it out, and excited to revisit old faces from past books. I thought she touched on so many issues in this book with respect and honor and dignity.

I liked this book a lot! Might be one of my favorite Aspen Cove books in fact. I've read a few of the series, and keep picking up the one's I'm missing to fill in the blanks. They make great light reading.

Favorite Quotes:
“People are quick to judge and slow to forgive.”
Food always comforted an injury. [Heck], Trig had gone on the no-peanut-butter-cup-left-behind diet for almost three months...”
“Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Maybe it's the altitude. The lack of oxygen. I don't ask strangers to kiss me.”
“She smelled like cinnamon and sugar-like toaster pastries or maple syrup. She smelled like happiness.”
“How did you know I was the one? She asked. He laughed. “You told me with every kiss. While I might not have known in my head, I knew in my heart.”
