Banking Her
Max Monroe
Synopsis
When one Rulebook closes…
Thatch and Cassie have finally found their perfect balance of good and sweet, crazy and playful, and most importantly, hot and insatiable.
But what happens when they’re faced with a surprise neither of them plotted or schemed?
While Cassie seems to be taking everything in stride, Thatch can’t stop himself Sent from my iPhone every little thing revolving around the woman he loves.
How does a man handle that kind of anxiety?
Doing the only thing he can to ease his mind without pushing away the woman he loves, Thatch proves that once again, when it comes to him and Cass, you’ll never see what’s coming.
Another Playbook begins…
Wes Lancaster has always followed one guideline for play. He never gets involved with anyone working for his professional football team, the New York Mavericks.
It hasn’t been a hard rule to live by.
Until Winnie Winslow, the new take-no-sh*t team physician.
She’s beautiful, intelligent—and has no problem taking control of every situation.
She pisses him off. She turns him on.
As tension builds and desire heightens, Wes finds himself wondering how much longer he’ll be able to follow his gameplan.
Disclaimer: Max & Monroe and Thatch advise that you use caution when insinuating the actions of their characters into your real life. You might find yourself the new owner of a truckload of hilarious kind of fun—or a restraining order. It's one or the other, really.
Our Review
Max Monroe is a brilliant duo! They amaze me with each new book they write. I am not even one to really like novellas, but I will take whatever they give me. They have such a unique way of writing that it really resonates with readers. I compare them to Deadpool. He is highly inappropriate, very funny, and tends to talk to the audience. Max Monroe does this a lot as well which is quickly making them one of my favorite authors.
Banking Her is the novella that Max Monroe wrote to bridge the gap between Banking the Billionaire and Scoring the Billionaire. It alternates point of views between 4 couples. Wes and Winnie, who we will get to know more about in Scoring the Billionaire, and Thatch and Cassie, who we just learned about in Banking the Billionaire. I love that Max uses these novellas to connect the stories. It gives the reader just enough of the previous characters to satisfy that itch, while also giving them just a taste of the next couple to leave them wanting more. Like seriously give us more like now! I agreed to read these books in the beginning as it seemed like it was going to be interesting, but I have quickly become addicted to this series and Max Monroe’s reading.
Character development is just enough in this little novella. We get to see how Thatch and Cassie are dealing with the bombshell dropped at the end of Banking the Billionaire. It really brought about some changes for both Thach and Cassie. With Wes and Winnie, we get a taste of them beginning to develop, while leaving plenty left to be developed in their books. I fully expect Scoring the Billionaire to be extremely hot and hilarious.
You would think that this being a novella, that there cannot be too much heat. Well you would be wrong my friend. This book has a lot of heat and not just between Thatch and Cassie! We get to catch up a little bit with Kline and Georgia as minor characters, while watching Wes and Winnie deny the attraction they both obviously have towards each other. That is plenty of heat for such a short and quick read.
Overall, I absolutely loved this novella. I think that it is just the perfect amount of book to help tie up all the ends from the last book and give a nice introduction into the next book. Max Monroe is a genius for coming up with this idea and sticking with it. I literally am dying to read the next book and am sad that I have to wait a month and a half to almost two whole months before I get to get my hands on the next masterpiece. If you haven’t read this book or this series, you should probably go read it now! Like seriously you are missing out.

Normally I would provide you with my favorite quotes, but to be honest, most of them are inappropriate to include on amazon so I have forgone it for this review. For real, just go read the book. It is worth the time and laughs.
