Review - Tiger Lily (Guilded Flowers #3) - Vivian Winslow

**I was given a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review**

Tiger Lily, book 3 in the Gilded Flower series and the last part in this amazingly addictive and scorching hot story.
I couldn't wait to get stuck straight back in to Lily's story. She is such a different person from whom we saw at the beginning of book 1. She now has been awakened by the various men she come across, since being cheated on by her husband to be, back at the start. She is far more forward and confident, letting it be known, exactly what she wants. She has also been working hard for the family business whilst her father has been recovering. She does it because she has to, yet she knows it's not what she wants for herself. Although the stress of trying to do what's best for the business, mixed with the leftover feelings she harbours for Gustavo, and the new feelings she has developed for Alejandro, has her quite mixed up and confused. Although she has an 'agreement' of sorts with the trust fund baby/bar owner Todd, that only manages to distract her temporarily. She is still left wanting something else. After being knocked back by the serious and gorgeous Alejandro, Lily is at a complete loss. Not knowing what to do with herself, she finds herself in a bit of a funk. Luckily her fun loving and feisty sister Dahlia and her best friend Vi, are around to drag her sulky self off to Aspen for some Skiing fun. What Lily doesn't realise is, that Dahlias boyfriend Rodrigo has brought along his brother and sister again. His brother being Alejandro. Cue some awkward moments in the gorgeous lodge they are sharing. I really loved the atmosphere and especially how, for once Lily has had to fight for a guy. She is absolutely gorgeous, and does know it. All men generally fall at her feet, it was nice to see one that she had to work for, even if she did get knocked back to start with. Again, this book is on fire. The sexual chemistry and sheer imagination of the scenes are pretty smouldering. This final part in the trilogy flowed perfectly. The intense story was concluded amazingly well. I loved how it turned out for all involved. One particular character, I thought we would see more of, disappeared quite early on, but that worked out perfectly for the conclusion.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, it was a completely refreshing story. I loved the gorgeous back drops of all the places Lily got to visit. Also all the colourful characters that were intertwined with the story. Gorgeous Latin American men and beautifully attired New Yorkers mixed up for a sexy, modern cast. Lots of heat and excitement.
One person who I wanted to see so much more of was Dahlia, she has some secrets and I'm dying to know about them. Luckily, I have found out, she will have her own book!! Yay! I look forward to seeing what the other gorgeous, yet more carefree twin has been up to.
After reading this perfect conclusion to the story, I am desperate to continue reading this Author's work. She manages to enthral the reader and keep them glued to the pages with the exciting characters and story, made addictive with all the naughty activities they get up to. The absolutely stunning cover just about topped this already great book!
A fabulous 5 stars!

Review - Calla Lily (Gilded Flowers #2) - Vivian Winslow

Well. After the ending of Gilded Lily, the first book in this Gilded Flower series. I was desperate for Calla Lily. I needed to know what happened after Lily ran off back to New York. We were left with Lily and Gustavo's 2 day tryst on his remote ranch in Rio, being cut short. So Lily is now back in New York and has had to step in to her fathers shoes, and help run the family business. It's a welcome distraction, from Gustavo and her newly awakened sexual appetite. Although things do tend to get a bit too much for Lily. Especially when she finds out her fathers company is not doing so well. And someone is determined to buy it. That person will go to any lengths but it would seem at a cost. In this 2nd part in the series, we also get to see far more of Lily's twin sister Dahlia, whom I actually really like. It would seem she was trying to help Lily before by showing her what a cheating scumbag her fiancé was. When her motives are known, we see her to be quite a fun and feisty character. She made me laugh repeatedly. Through Dahlia we also meet a family of Cubans, WOW with all these gorgeous Latin American men. Her we meet Alejandro, he is the eldest brother of the family. Quite serious but stunningly gorgeous, and someone who seems to be quite interested in Lily. We also have a few meetings with Gustavo, but Lily puts on a brave face and chases him away. Considering, she is quivering and melting on the inside. He seems very hard to resist. So it would seem this 2nd novella in the Gilded Flower series, is just as hot as the first part. Poor Lily is totally conflicted over what she wants and there is plenty on offer to her.
Again another 70 ish pages of awesome writing, addictive characters, steamy action, and amazing places. Again, why do I live in cold, boring England, I need to be in Miami or Rio, like now!
Calla Lily, consistently followed the smooth flow, sharp lines, and hot and addictive characters perfectly. Another ending, which I had to follow on to the 3rd part, immediately. This series is truly addictive!
A beautifully scented 4.5 Lily petal stars!

Review - Gilded Lily (Gilded Flower #1) - Vivian Winslow

Wow, where to start on just how much I loved his book. I seem to have had a weekend of naughty novellas, this weekend and I've loved them!!
Guilder Lily, is the tale of Lily. A 25 year old New York socialite. She comes form a well respected and well known New York family. She comes from a family with a lot of money, but with that money comes a role and name to live up to. She had it all mapped out. She worked her butt off in college, did extremely well, and was set to marry a gorgeous man from another equally respected and well known family in the New York circle. Everything was perfect for Lily. Except for one thing. The day before her wedding she walks in on her husband to be and her twin sister in bed, together!
Lily jets off on her honeymoon to Rio, on her own. She needs to get away and have a break. What she doesn't expect, is to find herself having rather naughty fantasies and experiences with her masseur.
Ever since her plane landed in Rio, she kept bumping in to a rather striking Brazilian man. He was the sort of man you could never forget. Gorgeous, charming and uber rich. He also seemed to have quite a thing for Lily. He works incredibly hard to get his hands on Lily, she works just as hard at fighting him off. There is an amazing amount of chemistry between the two of them, it makes the pages sizzle. (If an e-book page could sizzle)
So Gustavo and Lily, fight as hard as they can. Him towards her, her against her own desires, which seemed to have been awakened since travelling to Rio. Gustavo invites Lily to a 2 day trip on his ranch, which she reluctantly accepts. One of the days is amazing and full of incredibly intense and hot scenes. Yet the trip is cut short, for reasons I don't want to spoil! Lily then rushes back to New York.
For a 70 something page novella, that was intense! Right from page 1, the action was full on. The characters were modern and trendy, living the exciting high life. The heat and chemistry was exciting. Never a dull or boring moment in this novella. The writing style was captivating and had me hooked to this story, that I couldn't stop reading.
When I first saw the cover and heard the title, I was already wowed! The gorgeous picture was perfect. Plus Lilies are my favourite flower, so I was already excited before I had even read page 1. Lol Yes, I'm shallow like that.
I don't think I could fault this first book in the Gilded Flower series. It was a really enjoyable and captivating read!
4 pretty Lily scented stars.

Review - Saving Love (Billionaire Romance #3) - Sharon Cummin

Wow, thank goodness I was able to read straight on to his book, after finishing the second part of this trilogy. That was quite an ending, we were left with. Chris and Sarah had fought to get back together. Sometimes against each other sometimes to be with each other and when things finally start to look up. Chris does 'that'!!!!!! Wow! I was partly laughing at his typical display of a man not thinking, and partly gasping in shock and feeling so sorry for poor Sarah. Of course I'm not going to spill what Chris did, that would spoil it. Let's just say, it was quite big and terrible timing. So after it happened at the end of book 2, book 3 starts straight off, after the deed. Sarah is part shocked, part mortified, part broken hearted. She runs, again. (I don't blame her) She heads off to get away from Chris and everything she was feeling. She goes back to her apartment, and tries to pick up the pieces, again. It seems every time they get 2 steps forward, they fall 3 steps back. Sarah had just built her trust in Chris back up and was ready to start their life together properly, and now she's back where she started. This time she is determined to get over Chris and start again. Chris is also gutted, it was an accident, and he loves Sarah more than anything. In true Chris style, he fights as hard as he can to win Sarah back. Yet, just as Sarah starts to waver, a figure from her past shows up. It's quite a shock in more ways than one. Yet makes her realise a few things. Chris is now on the reverse, he has decided to give up and move on with his life no matter how hard it may be. So this poor couple just seem to get everything possible thrown at them. Like fates way of saying 'you want it, work for it!' It is definitely never boring when reading these Billionaire Romance novellas. They are short, but full on action all the time. Never a dull moment. This part is the last in this series, and I must say the ending was really great. I was very satisfied with how everything turned out. Very sigh-worthy! Another great read, perfect holiday reading material.
4 stars.

Review - Keeping Love (Billionaire Romance #2) - Sharon Cummin

This is the continuation of hot, billionaire Chris and sweet and quiet lawyer, Sarah's story.
In the first novella in this series, Chris and Sarah had met at a wedding of his nephew and her best friend, in Paris. They instantly felt an attraction and after spending a few days seeing the sights of Paris, hit it off amazingly well. Their was a huge amount of chemistry between the two and hey were well matched. Yet Chris didn't want to make a big deal out of his wealth, and wanted Sarah to know he real him. So he didn't say anything. Sarah's past relationship had made her very reluctant to fall for anyone again. Plus she had become very wary of men in general. So even with those hurdles, they still managed to fall in love and fight any problems they encounter. Unfortunately, Chris wasn't entirely forthcoming about a certain aspect of his past, just before he met Sarah. This comes out at a bad time in their relationship, and Sarah runs. That's where this next novella starts. Sarah is confused, scared and is having her old doubts resurface. She was treated bad before, by her ex and will not let it happen again. Chris, is also feeling bad, he had assumed Sarah had already known part of what happened with him in the past, so didn't mention anything. Yet his decision to not say anything made everything look ten times worse. So this 2nd part in the novella series, finds Chris and Sarah fighting their way back to each other. There is a lot of pain and heartbreak for both of them, trying to get over it. Yet, Chris is nothing if not persistent. He fights as hard as he can to win Sarah back and show her just how much she means to him. I sometimes wanted to say to Sarah, "come on already, give him a chance" but I can see that, that is her character. She was hurt before and is very wary now. Chris was again sweet and sexy, a little daft not to mention the important things though, I can already see where his next problem is going to occur.
It's another short and sweet story, that part summarises, part tells their story. So it skips through the long, filler parts, and gets straight to the important stuff. Which is exactly what I liked about the other stories by this author. It's really great for a quick, easy read. Perfect for Summer holiday reading. Wow, another trademark ending from these novellas, Making me scream, but quickly grab the next novella. Thank goodness, I had the next one ready!! :)
4 stars!

Through the haze of sleep, I felt hands on me. Cold and rough. I thought for a fleeting moment that it might have been Kyle. Then, I remembered our break up. It had happened weeks ago, but maybe that part was the dream. My memory was fucked and I couldn’t latch onto a thought long enough to ride it out of the fog. Too many hands. They groped and pulled—rough against my skin and digging into muscle and bone. I tried to retreat, my back pressed into a hard surface beneath me, and my nostrils filled with the smell of musk and damp stale air. I had no idea where I was, or how I’d gotten there. I kicked and gasped, trying to get back to the surface where reality lurked, shimmering in the distance, but just out of reach, like the sun on the surface of the water during a dive. A hand latched onto my hair and held my head back. My eyelids were finally freed from the sticky muck that held me in semi-consciousness, and I opened them to find myself staring up into unfamiliar green eyes. I only held his gaze for a few seconds—if that—but it seemed like it lasted for hours as my brain fought to categorize the details. Its useless attempt to understand what was going on. The man clutching my hair had vivid green eyes, but they may as well have been black given the emotionless void they displayed. His hair was shaggy, brown with a mix of grey, the same colors that stood out in his unkempt stubble. As if he needed any help looking rough. He exhaled and his breath settled over my face, reeking of booze and cigarettes. The smell made me queasy, but I didn’t have time to dwell on that, as another set of hands tugged at my jeans. My gaze traveled around the room, taking in the small crowd. At least half a dozen men surrounded the table where they had me spread out like a holiday feast. All dressed differently, from ragged tank tops to well-fitting dark button-down shirts, but they all projected an air of unchecked danger. Necks marked with tattoos, hands covered in callouses and scars. Scruffy faces accented their sneers and smirks, as they stood above me staring down with eyes starved of humanity and full of lust. Apparently, they didn’t expect me to put up a fight, because aside from the hand tangled in my hair, no one seemed concerned with keeping a tight grip on me. Probably because they outnumbered me, and I assumed they would have no problem beating the crap out of me as I struggled. They’d downright enjoy it. Unfortunately, I didn’t fully consider how that scenario would play out. I bucked and managed to knee the one pulling on my waistband in the face. He grunted, but I can’t imagine I inflicted as much pain as his retaliatory blow to my ribs. I sucked in air and rolled, curling around the injury and gasping for each painful breath as the sickening throb exacerbated my confusion.

AUTHOR BIO
I’ve been coming up with stories for as long as I can remember, and in elementary school I began writing them all down. Ghosts and vampires, have always been my favorite beings to write about. Maybe it was growing up with a grandma who always told me about how she’d always rush home to watch Dark Shadows, and growing up reading and watching anything paranormal that I could find.

My debut, Fractured Legacy (Paranormal Urban Fantasy novella), was released on October 22, 2013, and the sequel Beyond the Divide is currently in progress and expected to release in early 2014.

I am also taking a departure from the paranormal world with a BDSM Romance, Bound and Unbroken, which will also be released in early 2014. I go where my characters lead me, and Eric and Lena decided that I needed a definite break from the paranormal.

When I’m not spending time with the voices in my head, I work in business consulting and hang out with my husband and all of our furry family members.

Random Stuff:

I LOVE Rum, but that’s probably not a secret.

I love sexy cars more than I love rum. My top picks would be a ’65 Mustang, practically any Bugatti Veyron, or an Aston Martin Vanquish.

I once based a character in a story on my husband, and the character died.
Don’t bother trying to figure it out, I never released that book.

I’ve never met some of my closest friends in person–some of them live on the other side of the world.

I never set out for anyone at work to know that I’m a writer, but now they buy my books, so it’s a good deal.

I’m not terribly good at being girly–I don’t wear makeup, only own 4 pairs of shoes, and I’ve never had a manicure.

I learned to handle a gun before I learned long division.

I cuss like a sailor unless I’m around my grandma.

While most of the people in my graduate research classes were buried in books, I was glued to the TV researching the evolving portrayal of “Indianness”.

I’ve seen Disturbed in concert 3 times.

I still have a crush on Jason David Frank (aka Tommy Oliver the Green/White Ranger)

I work with my husband and it’s the 3rd time we’ve worked for the same business.

If I’m not watching Top Gear, I’m probably watching something that was filmed before I was born. Currently, Dick Van Dyke is in my DVD player.

I have a phobia of crickets.

Should I throw you one hell of a fact if you’ve made it this far? I was diagnosed with PTSD two and a half years ago, and my doctor suggested that
I start writing again to help cope with the symptoms.
