TITLE - Locked Box
AUTHOR - Eve Dangerfield
Synopsis:
Julia Bennett isn’t having a great day. Funding for her video game is low, her day job is sucking her dry, and to cap it all off she’s locked in a police station with the very handsome, extremely married guy she’s been avoiding at all costs. Max Connor isn’t having a great year. He’s getting divorced, his best friend is squatting in his house, and his inappropriate crush on the IT girl is getting way out of hand. And that was before he locked the two of them in an evidence room. Surrounded by three decades’ worth of drugs, guns, and floppy disks, Max and Julia are forced to confront the heat that lies between them with dangerous, funny, and occasionally toe-curlingly sexy results.
My Review:
Locked Box by Eve Dangerfield is about a woman named Julie Bennett who works as an IT at the Brenthill Police Station. She also is working on her own video game.
Max Connor is a Senior Constable at the same place. He is handsome and she is pretty.
One day the two of them got locked in a room at the Police Station. From that point the story gets very interesting!
Julie and Max have this instant attraction or chemistry. I
really enjoyed reading about the two of them! I liked how the author put how
they first met before working at the same place towards the middle of the
story. Other characters in the book are
detailed good and I believe make the story more interesting.
Locked Box has some, ok a lot, of sexy, explicit scenes. If you
enjoy reading books that have that, plus a good storyline then give this a try.
Eve Dangerfield's writing hooked me from the beginning. This is the second book I’ve read by her. I didn’t want this to end with the realistic feel of characters and great details. I’m not sure if this will continue with other characters in this book but I kinda want to know what happens to Max’s roommate and Julie’s sister. If not it could lead to another great read. ;)

Parts of the story I like:
“My auntie reads those. They’re lady porn. Nothing but
cowboys who stumble upon the preacher’s daughter bathing and next thing you
know they’re fucking under a waterfall.”
“You’d be impatient and that’s understandable, but if you
were making too much noise, I’d find something better for that big sweet mouth
to do.”
“The things he’d done to her, it made her cheeks burn just
to think about it. But more than that, he’d made her feel so safe.”
“He’s more how Satan would look like if he needed to seduce
you into drowning a baby.”
“She was just so f*cking interesting with her doe eyes and
her rapid-fire way of talking, it felt like he’d known her forever.”
“I’m thinking you’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen and I’d
really like to kiss you right now.”
