The Gentileschi Sisters are daughters of a king, princesses who come to the U.S. to pursue their careers and fall in love with seemingly unsuitable men.
At a Major League Baseball game, the stray pop-up ball is aiming right at neonatal nurse Evvie Gentileschi and hits her foot. Writhing in pain, she allows a complete stranger to help her, but she’s stunned when she discovers he’s the very batter who caused her injury. She has no idea one foul ball will change her life forever.
Star player Mike “The Jag” Jagielski leaps over the dugout, climbs into the stands, scoops up the woman his ball hit, and carries her to the medical tent. And damned if she doesn’t turn out to be a smart, witty, and surprisingly sensual woman. But there’s no way he’ll let her alter the course of his future.
Despite their protests, the princess and the ballplayer fall madly in love and lose all control of over what comes next.
The glamour of Major League sports and the inner workings of a NICU are the landscape on which the two radically different people struggle to make an impossible relationship work.
“Unlikely love, 3 stars”
Evvie has plans and has everything set into motion. What she never counted on was meeting Mike. Mike is everything she thinks she doesn’t want but quickly discovers otherwise. Both Mike and Evvie have their secrets. Will they be able to handle each other’s baggage?
I genuinely liked the idea of Can’t Help Falling in Love, but it fell short for me. I felt like there could have been more meat to the story. I wasn’t completely satisfied thus the 3 stars. I enjoyed how they met and thought it was a cute idea. Once they got over the stereotypes of what they thought about each other. If you take a chance on Can’t Help Falling in Love, then I hope you enjoy it.
