Release + Review - Jessica Frances - I Poisoned her Co-Workers

I poisoned her coworkers, so she injected me with a lethal dose of unrequited love.
In the past we had it all.
Or at least, we seemed to.
Then I let her down.
We both made mistakes.
We fell apart.
But no matter the years which passed us by,
I never forgot about her.
So when my brother falls headfirst into trouble,
I know who to call on.
I know she will help me.
Even if she wishes I would disappear from her life.
Even if she hates me.
But I won’t give up this time without a fight.
I will do everything in my power to win her back.
There might be some stumbles along the way…
Like an accidental poisoning for example.
But I won’t let that stop me.
Through gunfire and car chases,
I will make sure she knows she can rely on me.
We’re in this together,
Forever and always.
Who cares if things don’t get off to a great start?
What does it matter that her coworkers think I’m dangerous?
Is almost killing them worth throwing away what we have?
Then again, as some people say: there is nothing quite like love at first…crime.

Jenn's Review

Lots of humor. What I think I loved about I Poisoned Her Coworkers was all the humor in the book. This book has that dangerous feel to it, but mixed in is romance, heat, and laughter. I really enjoyed this book.

I liked the plot in this book. With a title like this, it was bound to be interesting. I liked how the author was able to throw me off and keep me guessing on what was going to happen next.

Gemma is a great character. She is tough as nails, but also very caring and kind. She has a heart of gold that can turn cold and black if you threaten those she loves. Hunter is an interesting character. While he is tough in his own way, I actually liked having him be the one who needed Gemma. I really liked his journey.

The heat in this book is there. The mystery and danger adds to it. The fact that these two have a history just made the heat that much better.

The writing style of this book was good. The pace was steady. The story was told from a single point of view. We also got to see many of the other characters.

In conclusion, this was a great book. This is a standalone novel in a series. For full effect I suggest you read the entire series, but I myself have not read them all and did not feel like I missed out. Great story.
