OUR REVIEW
FINALLY; Machlan Gibson has arrived, the brooding bar owner spills
the beans on his life in Crave, book 3 in The Gibson Boys series. This book took
me on a roller coaster of emotions with a plot twist I didn’t see coming.
Machlan is the local bar owner, he loves his job, family and
friends. What nobody knows is that for all these years while wearing a mask
Machlan is still thinking about the one that left him when he couldn’t be the
man he needed to be. When Hadley fell in love with Machlan all those years ago
he was everything she wanted, when their situation changed she had to make a
choice and that choice ultimately lead to her leaving and starting fresh. The
struggle back and forth between these two, leads them to have a hard think
about life and what they can and can’t live with.
Locke continues to raise the bar; her writing is nothing short of
perfection throughout this book and everything else I have read. She has the
ability to pull you in and keep you hanging on every last word, I love the dual
POV and the emotion that I felt from both characters throughout. Machlan and
Hadley’s magnetic chemistry is shown from the very first encounter leaving me
wondering when all this pent-up energy is going to come undone.
I personally loved this book and I was so excited that I couldn’t
put it down reading it all in 1 sitting. I am hanging to see where Adriana
takes Peck’s book because I have a feeling that the fun-loving easy-going man
is going to pull on my heartstrings.

Let me start off by saying Crave will take you for a freaking ride. If you’ve been following the Gibson boy’s series you might think you know what your in for, but you don’t. if your new to this series fear not, you don’t have to read the books that come before even though I highly think you should. But what I will tell you is that Crave is freaking gold. I never saw some of the things that happened coming, and what it did was really open my eyes. It was like a ‘ah ha’ moment where everything clicked into place and made my heart ache at the exact same time.
Machlan is the Gibson brother who was a mess in his younger years but is put together now. He’s experienced love and lost it. He’s the first one to offer advice or lead a helping hand. But when it comes to helping himself he freezes. Machlan doesn’t think he’s deserving of all the happiness in life, but things are changing. Will he be able to accept that change? And in the middle of trying to decide will he lose the only woman he’s ever loved?
Hadley has been in love with Machlan basically since she met him when she was fourteen. Together they have faced good times and hard times. They fight then they love. Everything about them is a rollercoaster. But she’s at the point in her life where she either needs to get off and find someone new or find out if her and Mach can really make a go of their relationship. What will happen?
I called it back in the first Gibson book that Machlan was going to be my favorite and he is. He’s one of those heroes that thinks he has so much he has to pay for when his tab is cleared. Hadley is strong when she needs to be but yet respects Mach and his alpha tendencies which show often. Then you have everyone else around them that just add to the story. If you one-click Crave right now you won’t regret it. In fact, I bet you’ll be hooked.
