REVIEW - The Monster Ball: Paranormal Romance Anthology

From 11 Award-Winning, USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHORS Comes A Night You’ll Never Forget.

Blurb:

It's that time again! The Monster community is abuzz with whispers of the most anticipated party of the year. This deliciously exclusive event has tongues wagging even amongst the who's who of the monster community. It will once again be held at an undisclosed location on All Hallows Eve.

Don't worry all you underprivileged socialites, The Monster Ball isn't just for vampires, witches, and werewolves. Other creatures of the night have as much of a chance to attend. Watch for your ticket but not in the mail. The silvery slip of parchment is said to appear in your hand by the light of the moon.

If you find yourself a fortunate recipient best to keep it to yourself. There are some who would kill for the chance to attend. Because as every good monster knows... what happens at the ball, stays at the ball.

Our Review:

Holy heck. What a wonderfully anthology. These short stories really rocked my world. Theres paranormal drama, action, humor, romance, and of course heat. I really liked that these stories are all interconnected. Instead of feeling like individual books, it feels like a real connection. Jump in and get your ticket to the Monsters ball.

*Enemies to Lovers*
I enjoyed this story. I really liked the main character. She was strong and resilient. I liked that there was a back story. We got to see these characters outside the ball.

*The Red Huntress*
Holy heck. This story rocked my world. I really enjoyed the action in this story. The female is a strong character. I also liked the theme of not everything is what it seems.

*Kiss of Death*
This story left me panting for more. I liked the idea of the story. It was written well. What I loved most was the mystery.

*Isle of Darkness*
Eek. This story is my ideal story. Relationship of opportunity. That's what I would say to describe this story. There is an attraction there but these two characters are not thrown together because of their attraction alone. They each serve a greater purpose. I really liked this story.

*Pucker Up*
One kiss can change your whole life. It can light you on fire and melt your heart of stone. I liked this story. The characters were dynamic. The story was well written. It was a great story.

*Secret Demons*
What an interesting story. I liked the conversations between the characters. The author did good building this story. The characters were written well.

*Chameleon*
I liked the title of this one most. It just sounds like a good story. I was not disappointed. I liked the plot of this story. I think it fit perfectly with the anthology. I really could see this story being a full length novel.

*Black Orchids*
Hmm. This one was a bit of a mystery at first. It made me think while I was trying to figure out what was going on. I can say I liked the ending of this one the best so far. This one felt like it was finished but left room for exploration.

*She-Wolf*
This story excited me the most. I really enjoy wolves so when I saw the title I knew this was one I would enjoy. I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed this story. What do you do when you are forced to make a choice you don't want to? This story answers that.

*Tiaras and Fangs*
The title of this story is slightly deceiving. I expected a different type of story than what I got. With that being said, that's a good thing. I wasn't overly excited about this one but I got something I really enjoyed.

*The Sun and the Moon*
This was my least favorite of the bunch. With that being said, it was still a darn good story. I enjoyed the characters and plot. It was interesting and engaging. It was only my least favorite because this particular paranormal creature is not my favorite.
