TITLE - Innocent Target
AUTHOR - Katie Reus

Blurb:

From USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus comes the next story in the explosive Redemption Harbor series where sparks fly and so do bullets…

He wasn’t supposed to fall for her…

She was a target. A contract that came across his desk by mistake. Axel was simply going to warn her that she was in danger and get out. Then he got a taste of her and fell hard. But they’re from two different worlds. Not only is she innocent, she’s out of his league. He should keep his distance, but he can’t. Not when someone wants her dead. Now he’s driven to protect her, to keep her safe.

What happens when she discovers who he really is?

Hadley moved to Redemption Harbor for vet school and to be closer to her new family. Now that her billionaire father knows about her existence, her life has changed drastically. She just never imagined that she might be targeted because of her family. And she definitely never imagined she would fall for the one man she should never want. A man who kills for a living. A man who’s obsessed with her. A man who will do anything to protect her from the danger lurking in the shadows.

Louise's Review:

Innocent Target is the 4th book in the Redemption Harbour series. The book has suspense, action and heat.

Katie started the book off with action. You were brought straight into the situation and didn’t give you a second to be put the book down. Axel puts himself into Hadley’s life to protect her and their relationship forms effortlessly. She her priorities in order, School and building a relationship with her Father and Brother. Having Axel come into her life was not something she anticipated.

Axel is your typical protective Alfa male that has a very sweet side that when given the opportunity, shines. Hadley is fiercely independent, wanting to build her life without the financial support of her new family. She has the confidence to take on everything her life is throwing at her with her head held high.

From the moment that Axel and Hadley came together the heat was turned up to 10. Every encounter between the two left you wanting more, a romance to swoon over. Their chemistry is undeniable, but can they survive when Hadley finds out the truth of how they met and what Axel is doing in her life?

Katie’s writing was seamless, going back and forth between several characters throughout the book, it was easy to follow and I did not want to put the book down at the end of the chapter. Innocent Target kept me on the edge of my seat with suspense and melting from the heat.

I went back to the start and read the first 3 Redemption Harbour books, I knew that all the characters linked together and I didn’t want to miss getting to know each of them. I am so glad that I did, Katie set herself up with a solid series that will not leave you disappointed. Axel and Hadley’s story is by far my favourite and I can’t wait to read what is in store for the rest of the series.
